I can't count the times heterosexuals have asked me this question in my lifetime. I wish I had thought of this answer because it so true, and they don't realize how absurd their question is! Stereotypical ideas are so hard to remove from people's minds. -

Actor Charles Farrell (1901 - 1990) was born in MA, became a major star during the silent screen era (1920s, 1930s). In the 1940s, he was well known for his on-screen romances with actress Janet Gaynor in over a dozen films. Farrell turned to television in the 1950s, with shows such as 'My Little Margie' and his own show 'The Charles Farrell Show'. He left his acting career by the early 1960s, and he turned to local politics and civil affairs in Palm Springs, CA where he served as Mayor for a short time. He died in Palm Springs at the age of 88 in 1990.
