I totally get your POV but not many feel comfortable or reach a good level of performance using condoms, and no, for some it's not a matter of selfish seek for pleasure. I must agree with @Luv2play that while not desirable, and different from HIV, most STIs are easier to get rid of in a shorter period of time and as long as one is selective when choosing sex partners (i.e. avoiding people into riskier sex practices) one is at low risk now that PrEP is on the market. My Dr told me that the spike in STIs when PrEP was launched wasn't correlated to PrEP itself but more with Drug Abuse, and that more safety is achieved when having an honest upfront conversation with your partner.

New trend or not I think it comes down to (edited) 3 factors: Level of confidence with the other person to call him/her "other names". Not more effective because it means that if you are unknowingly positive and traveled, you infected a lot of people on the airplane and the destination airport. I only tip when something really outstanding happens, either by skill or extra-time provided. If it was just nice, I would tip $20. If it was a great performance + extra time, I would tip $50. Just once one regular took me to the skies and I tipped $100, but those were better times financially.

I've seen VERY attractive guys popping up on RM throughout the year to then see them disappear, probably because they can't cope with it. Being good-looking is no guarantee to be able to get/keep it hard, being a good f*ck, or a pleasant after-sex experience with most clients.
