To me, tipping is not a norm, mainly because this is an unregulated business. There is no standard of quality guaranteed so what you get as service can vary wildly. Most providers are already charging per hour what lawyers and other highly-paid professionals do. I'm also considering that they have factored in their rate everything to receive fair compensation. I was about to say that $400 is not the typical rate anywhere in the US. I would say that $300 is the upper end of the average range and it can go down depending on the city and attributes of the provider. Is there a chance that in smaller US cities the going rate is around $200 and lower?
