I don't understand why people think that Mintboys is a good place to find reliable providers. Mintboys doesn't have Photo ID Verification or Reviews like RM, to keep providers accountable, then the site gets plagued by scammers. I don't want to blame the victim, but the 1st red flag, and mistake of the client, was to accept going to buy lubricant. A professional has always all his supplies ready and wouldn't need to buy anything. Giving money upfront was also a very rookie mistake. My thoughts exactly. @lajames was lucky that the scammer wasn't violent and armed.

LMAO! Politicians are bigger assholes when they’re with their families. Saw lots of sex, drugs, underage drinking, escorts, the usual.

I agree, given his aggressive sales nature his next move will be directed to recover the investment in some way, whether selling something, or starting a long-term relationship - where he can sell something? who knows?
-
Sounds like the case of the guy who know he's in high demand and goes with the biggest bidder, hence the multiple cancellations. As per the "respect" thing cited by @nycman it looks like he feels more comfortable with submissive guys who will let him get his ways. That includes those guys who won't complain after a cancellation and will patiently wait for their turn in line, or when he's in low season.

I'm also old-school, old fashioned. In general, everyone has the right to wear whatever they want; but in the same line of other posters on this thread, these are the styling accessories/items that I consider unacceptable (or a turn off) when shopping for a MALE provider. This would probably help most providers out there as I think most clients will agree with the majority of items on this list: Hair dyed with unnatural colours. Very long hair / man-buns. Plucked eyebrows. Cosmetic contact lenses. Make Up. Facial Cosmetic Procedures. Coloured Nail Polish. Earrings. Nipple Piercings, and piercings in general including P.E. Tattoos on face, neck, back of the neck, lower back and buttocks, hands, or covering extensive areas of the body. Complete lack of muscle mass or severely underweight. Excessive implants, especially if used to mimic the female body shape. Penis modifications. Untrimmed bushes. Body odour, or excess of perfume / cologne.

Same here. Fully recommended.

Yeah, call me cynical but the "cadre" story is a bit too weird and he definitely didn't tell you everything. I'm glad that you had such an amazing experience and you should be proud of that @KrisParr These things just don't happen. I was prepared to hear him asking you to invest in some business, etc. By all means keep him as a nsa hook up if he's still interested but keep your eyes open. You 2 f*cked and that gives him some level of influence. As you said, some mind games might be involved.

The CEO stepping down surely helped but he already made some statements that were no longer welcomed by shoppers. The 90s, when the A&F brand thrived were very forgiving of Political Incorrectness. The 2000s gave birth to a new generation of consumers - Millennials and Younger - who were no longer buying into these unrealistic ideals of beauty. Brands who recognized this and talked to consumers differently, trumped the market. Dove being the best example I can think of.

One doesn't invest $600 unless there is a good return either in cash, a long-term relationship, or profitable car sales. I also want to see how all of this unfolds.

Out of curiosity, what colours do they use?

I don't think it's vanishing. Maybe it's just perception because muscle guys have always been a rare breed. Not everyone has access to steroids and time available to dedicate multiple hours at the gym. I actually see new guys all the time. If anything has reduced it might be because of the pandemic and the fact that some guys are scared of the potential side effects when their cycles are not well thought.

I apologize if this has been previously discussed but is there any chance that we could have polls in this forum? I just thought of throwing the idea so others can discuss the pros and cons.

Same here. If database space is not a problem, then don't try to fix something that is not broken. Many forum members are just lurkers looking for valuable information in this forum. Some people just don't have the cojones or language skills to write a post. Moreover, by removing inactive forum members and their content altogether, we don't know how much would be deleted, thus having a negative impact on relevance of results pages when external users are searching for topics related to this forum, on Google.

Do you Charge More for Special Requests?

Poppers Irreversible Eye Damage if you are 40+ and Predisposed
lonely_john replied to lonely_john's topic in Men's Health
Dear @Charlie you are the perfect example that old times were always better. I'll stop poppers for 6 months and supplement daily with Lutein in the hopes to get back my vision to a 100%, but I'm still debating with my STUPID self if I should sell those bottles or keep them (I already moved them from my night table to the storage) for a future "emergency" 🙈 but taking it with extreme moderation. Poppers helps yes, but but I'm not willing to lose my vision for a few minutes of pleasure. -
Avoid the "FIST" brand. I tried it just once and I'm still recovering from some sort of eye damage.

I was about to book a provider when I asked if he was a Power Top and he said: "that would be $100 more". I was shocked and I obviously didn't hire but at the same time he proceeded to explain that he would charge more because of the physical stress and that he would be the top basically doing all the work, which I must admit, but it was a big turn-off. I just told him that I would keep him in mind and let him know. So, when you face a client who wants more or it's a bit demanding (not me!) and asks you for things such as: Roleplay / Verbal, Rimming, Wrestling, Bondage, Kissing, Leather, Toys, Fisting, Do you charge more for those services?

Where do you get most of your clients from?
lonely_john replied to TorontoTwink's topic in Questions About Hiring
Hi honey, I live in Toronto and I mostly hire from Rentmen and Rentmasseur. Years ago I used Canadianmale.com You are right in your observation of most profiles on Mintboys being flaky and inactive and I've actually had a couple bad experiences from that website. I believe it comes down to the reviews. If scammers can post a free ad there without reviews to make them accountable, well what can you expect? I personally dislike Seeking Arrangement because my perception is that it's crowded with cat-fishers and most folks there are looking for someone to take care of them in the long-term which is something I'm not interested in for the heavy investment in time, money, and emotional energy. You're basically focusing all your efforts in 1 single person and 1 single person alone, while on Rentmen I can just browse the menu. Also, that would be the reason why there are more providers on Rentmen than on Seeking Arrangement, because there is more business on Rentmen. Otherwise escorts would not continue to pay for their ads there. You can use the search feature to look for a couple threads that contain tips and tricks on how to protect your account from being banned on Grindr. I've hired a couple guys from there. The experiences were nice and affordable, but this means that you might not expect to charge there as much as you charge on Rentmen. For some reason, the guys on Grindr usually have for lower rates, but then again they are not paying for being there and they are not being reviewed, so I suppose that compensates for the lower rate. -
100% your call. I don't know anything about you but if you are in this business for a short period just to make some money for a project, or this is just a side gig to complement your main source of income, i.e. a job where you just started and you would be negatively impacted if this activity is discovered, then you have all the rights to protect your privacy. That's why there is something called "Right to Privacy". With that being said, you should accept that some clients will lose interest after hearing about your privacy policy. I personally don't look for Ken dolls because what I look for is even more scarce: Tops. So in most cases I will leave good looks in the background (not that I'm going to hire a monster) as long as the provider is a well-reputed hung top. As an anecdote, some of the most reviewed providers in my city don't show face, one is one of my regulars. I suppose it comes down to how you market yourself and the service you provide. If you make clients happy rest assured that they will leave good reviews and give you a good reputation. If you are getting the amount of business you want and you are happy with it, don't let anyone tell you how to conduct your own business.

Poppers Irreversible Eye Damage if you are 40+ and Predisposed
lonely_john replied to lonely_john's topic in Men's Health
That's ok. Then your nickname fits you perfectly because you would be among the 70-to-90% of users who won't experience any vision problems after using poppers. Perhaps in my case it counts that I've been a long-term and heavy user and I relied for too long on poppers to be able to experience pleasure while being penetrated. -
Poppers Irreversible Eye Damage if you are 40+ and Predisposed
lonely_john replied to lonely_john's topic in Men's Health
@nycman I found some encouraging information that I thought I could share here as it seems that for the most part the symptoms are temporary, and disappear after cessation, but the damage can become permanent, especially after continued use at an older age: "Cases of patients with complete recovery after 3-6 months have been reported after drug cessation and oral LUTEIN supplementation." https://eyesoneyecare.com/resources/optometrists-guide-to-poppers-maculopathy/ I also found reports of several other people from Poppersguide.com where some reported that their eye-sight returned back to normal after as long as 1 YEAR! Scary 🥶 -
Poppers Irreversible Eye Damage if you are 40+ and Predisposed
lonely_john replied to lonely_john's topic in Men's Health
Thanks for the sensitive advice. I've never been a power bottom so I always relied on chemical aids to be able to handle BIG ones. Booze and weed definitely sounds like a more "natural" approach. It sucks to be part of that 2% that got their eyesight affected by poppers. I enjoyed them so much 😭 -
Poppers Irreversible Eye Damage if you are 40+ and Predisposed
lonely_john replied to lonely_john's topic in Men's Health
Thanks for sharing this. I always like to make informed decisions and it seems this was a wake up call for me to stop. I'm just too old to lose my eyesight now. The problem now is to find someone to sell them 4 brand new bottles of poppers that I have, haha. -
I apologize if it's inappropriate to ask @KrisParrbut have you discussed rate yet? If so, is it possible to know how much and what will be included? 🙈
