  1. The Keg is a nice restaurant in old Montreal. On St Catherine there are several places to grab a bit that are good. I would recommend the Saloon and Piazetta. Stock is awesome place to visit, can't recommend it enough. Campus seems to have gone down hill over the past few years...very hit or miss. Wonderful weather and if the street is still blocked very festive.

  2. You guys can try and re-write history and reviews all you like.

The bottom line is 92 positive and 44 "average/negative" is pretty BAD by anyone's standards.

Words in those reviews that keep recurring are: "dump," "neglected," "abandoned," "junkies," "homeless," and "dirty". Don't take my word for it, read the reviews (but be sure to remove your rose-colored glasses first!).

Well....I am not rewriting anything. I wrote from my personal experience. I am not sure where you visited or the reviewers as "dump", "neglected", "abandoned" or "dirty" definitely are not words I would use to describe it. Yes, there are junkies and homeless people there but once can find that almost anywhere. Maybe your observation('s) are more a reflection of you than of the Gay Village. Just my thoughts.

    :)

  3. I have been to the Gay Village many times at all times during the year. It has an eclectic feel to it, energetic, vivacious and all around just a lot of fun. Not sure what the reviewer was looking at, but it always puts a smile on my face to walk down the center of St Catherine or to set outside at one of the restaurant's outdoor seating areas and enjoy the hustle and bustle of the street. Sad that he saw it that way. Viva St Catherine and the Gay Village! :)

  4. So there auditions are open to the public? Makes sense when you think about it, but for some reason I wasn’t thinking it went past, “Take off your shirt. Okay, you’re in.” What are the nights for it, are is it a random thing.

I have seen them on several different nights...it's not a take off your shirt your in type thing. They have to actually perform two songs on stage.

  5. My views may be somewhat different than those replying before me. I have gone with friends and I have gone alone to Montreal and have had great times doing both.

Stock Bar is by far my favorite club. It is typically men only nights except for the one Ladies night a week on Wednesday. There is usually a door cover charge to get into the club but there is no cover to go into private areas for Lap Dances. Lap Dances run $20 a song curtains closed and $10 a song curtains open. Guys are quite handsome there. Club is open Tuesday through Sunday. Great Service and hottest guys here. In my opinion.

Campus is walking distance from Stock. It is a great club that opens for happy hour in the afternoon. The club is located on the 2nd floor so be prepared to walk a flight of stairs. They have Ladies night one night a week and it is usually on Sundays. Club has made recent changes and I haven't been there in over a year.

Taboo...is taboo in my opinion. Not very well ran. You twinky type dudes dance there. I really don't know a lot about that. The last time I was there we walked in and walked out.

All the clubs have slot machines in them for entertainment when you want to take a break of the boys.

If you like Drag...club Mado is located in between Stock and Campus.

One of my favorite non stripper club is a Video Bar that recently opened. Awesome ambiance, good vibe and friendly staff.

Now....when tipping, I find guys are always gracious in receiving American or Canadian money. Good eye contact and they will come visit. It's appropriate to tip or buy a drink if you are not ready for a lap dance. Many factors will determine how long they talk with you. If you are wanting more attention tipping always helps. You can tip on stage...they will know to come find you afterwards. Usually $5 Canadian gets them to come visit.

    My two cents :)

  6. Just wanted to drop a line and say that the New Years Eve party at Stock Bar was a great time. The place was decked out. Serving staff in tux shirts and bow ties. Handsome, handsome men dancing all night. A balloon drop at midnight, a shower show, champagne toast, and bountiful buffet after midnight. A group of us attended and all had a wonderful time. Kudos to the management and staff at the club for making this a great destination place to go and to end as well as bring in a new year. Thank you. :)

  7. I at times have found the guys really aggressive at Campus....so much so, that our group left to go do dinner. Then there has been some times when Stock got crazy....mostly on Wed nights when we would get hounded because the guys weren't making money with the ladies. lol I wouldn't put a label on either club as being aggressive or not, I think it depends on who you are and how you handle the situations and what is going on at the time. Just my 2 cents worth.
