I have an 8.5 hour layover in Tokyo at the end of the month and am planning to try one of these spots. If anyone has any tips or wants to share experiences, DM me.

Looks like I am in fact headed to Manila, as well as some of the islands in the Philippines in May on business. Would like to check out some spas, though I of course will scope out apps and look around Makati malls as was suggested here as well. Anyone have spa recommendations?

I wish I had more time to explore the mirad of massage shops here in the Spring Mountain Rd area. There has to be some cute guys around.

I haven’t ever been asked that at Candle. As far as being asked this in general at any of the spas in this forum… If it is a front desk person that asks that, I politely nod and then completely disregard the request. That disregard has led to several amazing massages  

Typically if it’s a front desk person they are just trying to keep order and prevent hanky panky in the spa. In the highly unlikely event that I disregard the request and there is an issue (never happened), it’s easy to claim misunderstanding. 

If it were the provider asking me to do that, I would comply but likely not ever return to that provider.

I went to The Rhyme twice just getting whatever male therapist was available and it was not memorable. Do we have a mf link for Robbie?

Agree with everything said here. I’ve only seen him for therapeutic massage at a studio but he is amazing.

I think the general consensus is that outside of random luck with a male masseur at some of the casinos and fun in the spa areas, Vegas is pretty dry in terms of men’s spas. 

I learned that 90210 in Tempe recently changed ownership. So yeah, nothing lasts too long around here.

Thanks Marc, I will have to go do some research on Hong Kong! Are there any that you recommend? And have you experienced any of other places I listed?

I am considering taking an international trip and a big part of my choice of destination is the availability of male massage spas with cute guys.  I tend to like twinky guys.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Bangkok / Pattaya, Thailand and Manila, Philippines are probably at the top of my list but I'd love to hear about others' experiences.  I should note for anyone else who wants to stay a bit closer to the US, I have had a fabulous time in Puerto Vallarta.

Update: they have a new guy, Luke, who is pretty great. Availability is pretty good, just need to schedule a few hours in advance.

I’m not sure why there were no responses here. There are a number of old threads and some threads specific to one spa or masseur, but nothing very recent on the overall LA spa scene and the LA threads don’t tend to stay very active. I was going to post a new thread but figured I would revive this one instead (if I am missing something, please let me know).

I think there is a lot to be experienced right now in the LA spa scene. ☺️ I don’t want to speak specifically to anything like extras in a forum like this, but I will say I have had consistently fantastic massage experiences in LA spas.

Some of the best experiences have been at spas like these:

The Sense Massage and Wellness Center (WeHo)

Sparadise Massage and Wellness (WeHo)

Sparadise La Brea

Candle Spa (Studio City)

YoLo Foot Spa (Glendale)

I have had mediocre (but somewhat eventful) experiences at spas like these:

Prince Mens Spa

Silver Lake Wellness Spa

Ananda Spa

Wilshire Foot Spa

There are still a number of spas I would eventually like to try, among them The Rhyme Massage and Wellness Center (new and discussed in another thread) and Totally Smooth Skin.

I will give a big RIP to Blue Moon Thai Spa (now Silver Lake Wellness) and Samaran Massage TT (North Hills) where I had some great experiences in the past.

Anyone else care to share updated thoughts on the LA spa scene? I think it is having a bit of post-COVID resurgence.

I called and requested him, super simple.

Bumping this to share I also had a fantastic experience with Andy at Candle Spa. Highly recommend.

May I ask where you are getting your information? Unless this has personally happened to you or a loved one then this is absolutely fear mongering. I have been to PV twice in the last year and have a friend who lives near Zona Romantica. I walked alone day and night and had zero issue and always felt safe. I have encountered police and have had no confrontation or hostility. I agree with the other person who stated that they felt safer walking alone in PV than they do in certain American cities. As others have said here, I am not saying things like this never happen (just as shootings, theft, crime and corruption also happen in American cities) but insinuating that it is the norm is completely inaccurate.

I will be in NYC for one day this weekend and plan to hit a spa or two. I tend to like younger twinky guys (early 20s), if anyone wants to PM me any recs, I’d truly appreciate it. Happy to report back, just want to maximize my time since I haven’t been to NYC since before COVID.

In the past I’ve had luck in the Westminster area at some of the foot spas (like Blue Sky Foot Massage). It’s cheaper there than about anywhere else in the country too. But it has been many years, so YMMV.

Looking forward to trying Mandalay Bay Spa at some point. Just a side note, I can recommend a decent off-strip Asian body massage at a foot spa from a decent looking young Asian guy. PM me for details.

It really is surprising that there isn’t more spas with good male masseurs (especially with the proximity to LA), but I did find one spot. PM me to inquire.
