  1. Totally get that @TectonicThrust, I would have passed the same judgement if I wasn’t into Cody. I don’t have other therapists yet, but happy to share once I do!
  2. Offering an alternate perspective here as as I have seen Cody twice. I definitely agree he is very skinny, but I am into that. While English is certainly not his first language, I did not have any trouble communicating with him. He has understood all of my questions and answered them, even though he isn’t always speaking in complete sentences. As for the experience, I usually do the 30 min body scrub plus 60 min massage, which I find really enjoyable. I do agree that it was not the best massage ever, but I would still give the massage itself maybe a 6/10. He starts with very mediocre pressure, but once he gets oil on the skin the pressure amps up quite a bit. I think if he cut down the pre-oil portion (some masseurs are great at it, but he isn’t) that would improve the experience. Whole experience is about a 8/10 for me personally… I will note that my second visit was better than my first, I probably wouldn’t have rated it as highly after my first time. As for the experience checking in and making an appointment, I think it has improved a lot since pre-2020. You used to not even be able to request someone because they insisted on rotating staff at random, but now when you call they will tell you who is working and let you request. I will absolutely be coming back here and trying some of the other masseurs. There is probably a bit of trial and error required to find the good ones.
  3. Any more updates on this place? I almost made it.
  4. Had an amazing time in Manila with a stop in Tokyo. Had fun almost every night, save when I was working.
  5. Sorry this is late… guessing I missed your window of opportunity. I will say that I had an amazing time in Manila and I didn’t need to use any sites like that. There are many massage spas with all variety of guys, and the standard “dating” apps also are useful to find people. Feel free to hit me up via DM if you have questions.
  6. Love that they have pics on the site! Hope they keep that up and add some new folks. I have seen Alex at Sparadise and previously at The Sense, he’s great.
  7. I’m looking forward to some fun experiences in Asia (Tokyo, Manila. maybe Taipei) next month.
  8. Google says that some of the spas mentioned on this forum are 20-25 minutes by rideshare from HND. I understand if it were NRT it would be a much different story.
  9. It’s not NRT, it’s Haneda (HND).
  10. I have an 8.5 hour layover in Tokyo at the end of the month and am planning to try one of these spots. If anyone has any tips or wants to share experiences, DM me.
  11. Looks like I am in fact headed to Manila, as well as some of the islands in the Philippines in May on business. Would like to check out some spas, though I of course will scope out apps and look around Makati malls as was suggested here as well. Anyone have spa recommendations?
  12. I wish I had more time to explore the mirad of massage shops here in the Spring Mountain Rd area. There has to be some cute guys around.
  13. I haven’t ever been asked that at Candle. As far as being asked this in general at any of the spas in this forum… If it is a front desk person that asks that, I politely nod and then completely disregard the request. That disregard has led to several amazing massages Typically if it’s a front desk person they are just trying to keep order and prevent hanky panky in the spa. In the highly unlikely event that I disregard the request and there is an issue (never happened), it’s easy to claim misunderstanding. If it were the provider asking me to do that, I would comply but likely not ever return to that provider.
  14. I went to The Rhyme twice just getting whatever male therapist was available and it was not memorable. Do we have a mf link for Robbie?
  15. Agree with everything said here. I’ve only seen him for therapeutic massage at a studio but he is amazing.
  16. There are some other threads on here where this has been discussed at length: I think the general consensus is that outside of random luck with a male masseur at some of the casinos and fun in the spa areas, Vegas is pretty dry in terms of men’s spas.
  17. I learned that 90210 in Tempe recently changed ownership. So yeah, nothing lasts too long around here.
  18. Thanks @Greg250! If anyone else has specific suggestions about international male spa suggestions, please share here or PM me.
  19. Thanks Marc, I will have to go do some research on Hong Kong! Are there any that you recommend? And have you experienced any of other places I listed?
  20. I am considering taking an international trip and a big part of my choice of destination is the availability of male massage spas with cute guys. I tend to like twinky guys. Anyone have any suggestions? Bangkok / Pattaya, Thailand and Manila, Philippines are probably at the top of my list but I'd love to hear about others' experiences. I should note for anyone else who wants to stay a bit closer to the US, I have had a fabulous time in Puerto Vallarta.
  21. Update: they have a new guy, Luke, who is pretty great. Availability is pretty good, just need to schedule a few hours in advance.
  22. Thanks so much for the info. Totally agree about the bait and switch.
  23. This ad is back but now in LA. Reviews are positive. Are the pics the same? Anyone with any intel?
  24. I’m not sure why there were no responses here. There are a number of old threads and some threads specific to one spa or masseur, but nothing very recent on the overall LA spa scene and the LA threads don’t tend to stay very active. I was going to post a new thread but figured I would revive this one instead (if I am missing something, please let me know). I think there is a lot to be experienced right now in the LA spa scene. ☺️ I don’t want to speak specifically to anything like extras in a forum like this, but I will say I have had consistently fantastic massage experiences in LA spas. Some of the best experiences have been at spas like these: The Sense Massage and Wellness Center (WeHo) Sparadise Massage and Wellness (WeHo) Sparadise La Brea Candle Spa (Studio City) YoLo Foot Spa (Glendale) I have had mediocre (but somewhat eventful) experiences at spas like these: Prince Mens Spa Silver Lake Wellness Spa Ananda Spa Wilshire Foot Spa There are still a number of spas I would eventually like to try, among them The Rhyme Massage and Wellness Center (new and discussed in another thread) and Totally Smooth Skin. I will give a big RIP to Blue Moon Thai Spa (now Silver Lake Wellness) and Samaran Massage TT (North Hills) where I had some great experiences in the past. Anyone else care to share updated thoughts on the LA spa scene? I think it is having a bit of post-COVID resurgence.
  25. I called and requested him, super simple.
