The wind in PS has been so bad for the last 24 hrs (gusts up to 67mph) that the planes are being diverted directly over our house to land at the airport. It is supposed to get better tomorrow.

Our dog rotates between our beds each night, and sometimes changes beds during the night. On the rare occasions when he chooses to sleep elsewhere, we wonder what is wrong. On a recent visit to my spouse's family in Texas, on the last night he disappeared from our room, and we learned the next morning that he had spent the night in my sister-in-law's bed.

I would like to see a credible scientific study on what "most teenagers" understand about sexuality, as well as definitions of "realistic" and "nuanced." (Does it mean they think like me?)

However, we are again under a "high wind alert." We are in a lull right now, but this past weekend was terrible, with steady winds as high as 50mph in my neighborhood. Oliver may need to keep his poolboy on retainer 24/7 for clean-up.

I am one of those lucky people whose weight hardly changes--I can still wear the sweaters I bought I when was in college. But I worked out at a gym for more than 40 years, in order to stay healthy and maintain muscle fitness. However, going to the gym always felt like a boring chore to me. Then, in my sixties, I discovered that I could exercise just as much by playing tennis several days per week, and have FUN doing it! I dropped my gym membership ten years ago, and at my recent annual physical, the doctor told me I was actually in better condition (especially aerobically) than I was when I started seeing him fifteen years ago, I also weigh exactly the same 155 lbs I did then, although the distribution has shifted somewhat--it seems to slide toward the middle of my body. I think that it is important for everyone to do some kind of regular exercise, but you are more likely to stick with it if it is something that you actually enjoy doing rather than something you would really rather avoid.

In my college days, one of my dorm mates was a member of the Iranian royal family. He was incredibly cute and and sweet. He expected to have a political career back in Teheran, but the revolution changed that. He ended up as a gastroenterologist in Dallas.

Snow flurries are not in the forecast for PS today: the temperature is supposed to be 102.

I certainly don't think you are harsh or out of line in any of your postings. My point was that women tend to think of sex as more natural and desirable if there is mutual attraction between the partners, whereas my experience is that most men don't care as much about whether the object of their sexual desire returns that desire. Of course, many men--perhaps most--do find the experience more pleasant when there is mutual attraction, but that is frequently less important in their calculation of sexual satisfaction than it is for most women. A man who wants to have sex with men who are not likely to be attracted to him may have a number of motivations, ranging from wanting to change the other man's attitude to wanting to punish him by making him do something he won't enjoy, to wanting to be humiliated himself, but in many cases he simply wants to use the other man for his own satisfaction. Women are more likely to see human relationships as subject to subject, while men often see relationships as subject to object, i.e., the partner is experienced as simply a detached ass, a cock, or a cunt. (I know, I know: this is oversimplified psychological analysis.)

Forgive me for saying this, QTR, but you think like a woman. Most men, including gay men, are more concerned with whether they find their sexual partner attractive than whether the sexual partner finds them attractive. It is why men are much more likely to hire sex partners than women are.

I started this thread, then immediately signed out and left the site for a couple of weeks, so I was not aware of how it developed. I was NOT trying to warn anyone that PV was any more dangerous than PS, where a gay married couple was also assaulted on the street not long ago, and one of them died as a result. What I was attempting to warn travelers about was the attitude of the Mexican police toward the incident, which was very different from the way the police in PS handled their incident. The PS couple in PV were accustomed to the PS police and local media taking a gay-bashing incident for what it is, and were not prepared for the local police and media in PV distorting the incident to make it appear not to be gay-bashing.
-
A married couple of gay Palm Springs realtors were vacationing in PV. In the early morning hours, they were walking back to their rental condo from a gay dance bar, holding hands, when someone yelled at them and then shot at one of them. He is hospitalized but not seriously injured. They say the Mexican police are describing the incident as an attempted robbery, during which they struggled with the assailant, but that wasn't what happened at all, although they have repeatedly told the police what actually occurred. They have told the PS media that the Mexicans are afraid of scaring off gay American tourists, so they are denying that there is any anti-gay angle to the attack.

My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer at 89, and had a mastectomy. We assumed that it was a sign that she probably wouldn't be with us much longer, so we brought her to live with us for what we expected would be a short time. She had no more medical problems than we did after that, and died at 102.

One time I hired an escort for a second time, and told him that I was doing it to celebrate my birthday. At the end of the appointment, he handed me a bottle of wine with a bow around the neck, which he had bought for me as a birthday gift.

I admit that "affect" and "effect" do disturb me, simply because their meanings are different. Most users don't realize that each of them can also be either a noun or a verb, and the way they are used affects their meaning. The written media misuse them all the time. (Which leads me to the observation that writers often don't realize that "media" and "data" require plural verbs.)

His Rentmen ad says he is 39--sort of like Jack Benny. Some of those photos have also been around for a long time. That being said, he is still young enough for me to find him hot as hell.
-
This is pedantic of me, but "impactful" is an adjective, not an adverb, in this example. But despite being a pedant, I am not disturbed at all by the morphing of nouns into verbs or other parts of speech, or vice versa. I enjoy the inventiveness of language users.
-
Many of the escorts on Rentmen simply check off everything on the ad application, without actually having any interest or experience with them. When you contact the escort, you should ask him specifically about any particular interest that is important to you.

I would never go up in the air in something that didn't have a toilet.

I got my first hard-on when I was 5 years old, so I just sort of experimented until I figured out how to relieve it. At 13, I was surprised when the relief was accompanied by ejaculation.

United: from dragging a passenger and now asphyxiating a dog.

Part of the problem was that the mother apparently didn't speak much English, and depended on her little girl to do the communicating with the attendant.- 17 replies

I have had the same AOL address since I opened my first email account in 1999. I see no good reason to change it.

I hired this guy in--wait for it--1985! He was an asshole then, too.

Casey/Calvin was the first genuine "porn star" I had sex with.

When I was young, black and white photos of male nudes were what I considered porn. I used to buy copies of the little physique magazines on Times Square news stands when I was in my mid-teens in the 1950s. Real porn, photos of actual sex acts, I didn't see until after I had already experienced the acts for myself.
