  1. Final scene on the beach in Longtime Companion.
  2. It's not just the governor. The whole state bureaucracy seems to contain large areas of inefficiency and incompetence--look at the disastrous handling of the unemployment funds or the hi-speed train construction.
  3. Let's see: that was back before Internet ads, cell phones, gay websites, etc. According to my records, I hired ten times that year, but when I read the names now, the only ones that I can remember were a hot Israeli couple whom I hired twice, and a guy I hired accidentally because I had hired him a few years earlier but he had changed his name and address, so I didn't realize I was getting the same escort again (I hired only escorts who did in-calls). My elderly mother came to live with us that year, so I hired only on short visits to NYC, and mostly because it was possible rather than because I really cared about it. I was already rather bored with sex, but wanted to feel I was still in the game.
  4. Riverside County started booking appointments for those over 65 yesterday; within 2 hrs, every available time was taken. This morning on Nextdoor I read comments from seniors in Palm Springs who said that the earliest appts they could get were in February, in places many miles away.
  5. With $97K, think how many hot escorts you could hire to tell you how much you turn them on.
  6. Yes. Everyone should read it.
  7. If it doesn't have a good bookstore and a tennis club, I wouldn't live there. Oh, and a gay-friendly medical clinic.
  8. Bergen County, New Jersey 1940s Treat Williams (when he was young) Hair! (original off-Broadway production) tennis I don't remember no
  9. I just had my annual physical. The doctor told me that every clinical test that was done shows that I'm in excellent condition, for my age. I have little hair left on my head (but a lot in my ears and nose); I have almost no fat, so my weight is maintained by losing muscle instead; and my skin is mottled and sagging, no matter how much sunblock and moisturizer I use. I still remember the panic I felt in the WC of a train in Europe when I saw my first grey hair in the mirror when I was in my 30s: "No!! My sex life is over!" Now I see a new age spot and say, "Whatever." As long as I can see clearly, hear my favorite music over the tinnitus in my ears, remember where I put my wallet, learn how to use FaceTime for a telemedicine conference with the doctor, and still occasionally beat some young whipper-snapper on the tennis court (I won 6-3, 6-2 on Sunday!), I'll be OK.
  10. I was always precocious. (I came out at 17)
  11. 35 was the age at which I had my mid-life crisis, too.
  12. My spouse and I have been together for 52 years. We agreed after the first few weeks together that, given our natures, an open relationship was the only kind that would work. There were a few crises, when a sexual relationship with someone else threatened to become too serious, so we realized that "one and done" was the only sensible way to go. Now that we are old, neither one of us has had sex with anyone else in years.
  13. Gay friends of ours in Palm Springs decided to move to Savannah, because they remembered its "charm" from the years they had lived in Atlanta. They lasted only a couple of years before fleeing back to Palm Springs.
  14. And because of modern technology and communication media, he will be embarrassed by that photo for the rest of his life.
  15. Few people read the Tech Talk forum, in which the announcement about the problems with the site were explained. It was a logical place to put the info about the system upgrade failure, but it probably should also have been posted in the Lounge, because the lost posts weren't the only thing that went wrong. Guy Fawkes does not have a staff of employees and consultants, so one should relax and wait when something seems screwy, because he always manages to fix it eventually.
  16. Is Juliano_NY really in Philly? The map locator puts him in a downtown location where it is unlikely to find a masseur.
  17. Already 404.
  18. Merciful heavens!
  19. I really like the options of 6 (eyes roll) and 25 (hmm..I'm thinking about that), because they are reactions that I frequently have, but don't know how to express with the current choices. I don't know why something for "verbose" is necessary--because it is so obvious--though I think 17 expresses one's reaction better than 15 does.
  20. The thumbs up button is back, but when you press it, it shows the question mark as the symbol next to the number of comments, and if you hit "remove," it simply lowers the number but keeps the question mark for all the responses.
  21. I leak a bit whenever I am aroused, regardless of whether I cum or even get very hard. I thought that was what everyone did ?
  22. He is referring to Christy Holstege, the mayor of Palm Springs.
  23. "Zac" is described as a "professional massage therapist CMT" with "7 years experience," but he looks about 16 years old. Where are they arriving from, and why to Palm Springs? Their mapped addresses are both at shopping centers across the street from motels, which are supposed to be closed right now to anyone but essential workers. There are several Asian massage places near one of the shopping centers, but they may be closed, too. If you call, you may be told that they can't do in-calls and will have to come to you. Everything about this sounds fishy.
  24. Charlie

    Lifespan

    I do.
  25. I wasn't sure whether it was a Chevy or a Pontiac, because I couldn't read the model name on the first photo. I thought it might be a Holden. The second photo is obviously not taken in France--who would have shipped a car from Australia?!
