Sorry, slight off-topic from the main thrust of your post. Have you ever considered flying / driving / any other means of travel to take yourself over rather than fly someone over to you? You get to control travel, hotel and meal costs and the venue. Perhaps you can even meet one or two more guys in addition to your preferred guy, depending on your appetite, of course.
