I did a big European trip in 2022 after I came into a bit of money and while I didn't hire every day, I did hire fairly often. This is not my general experience. I stayed in an Airbnb in Toronto once and it became clear that it wasn't actually allowed in his building. Slightly off topic, but in general AirBnBs have less and less appeal for me as a traveler. With all the fees and restrictions they often tack on, it's often barely cheaper than a hotel and at a hotel you have way more freedom to do what you want with it. It's not always. The one in Boston is just some random downtown corner. You can actually see the Boston City Hall on the map and it's several blocks to the NE. The one in Denver is about a block from the State Capitol building though so often it's pretty close.
