After school I'd take a city bus to work and get hard from the rumbling of the old bus I guess. I was self conscious that I'd get off the bus and walk downtown with a stiffy, and worried it wouldn't go down before I arrived.

Yup. And compared to mainstream celebrities, porn stars seem far less vulnerable.

If they could never have a broken heart over a man, then probably definitely g4pay.

I remember being young, closeted and frightened at work. Years later I felt bullied by one of the security organization at my company. I reported it to the HR director. I had decided there was no effing way I was going to exist in an oppressive environment. Eventually he was dismissed after pissing off our local executive. My input may have made the decision easier. Don't know. I later found out the HR director was lesbian. I decided there are really a lot more friends and allies around us than we might realize and that over the years being gay may have led certain people to look kindly on me. Of course it hasn't hurt that I do a good job.

I see they have buttocks sugaring on their menu. Not sure what it means but...………...yes please. -
For old time's sake, I checked this summer's schedule at Simpson. Looks tempting. http://desmoinesmetroopera.org/documents/cms/pics/Season1.jpg

My first love was a civil engineering major. Me, I majored in Mechanical Engineering. Our freshman year, we shared a hotel room on our way back from a football game at Kansas U. Funny how far he traveled so he could have a try with me. Alas, he eventually went off to have a wife and fam, and me, I headed out west. Such memories. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiYM4Dfh0eY Let's see. How to bring this back on the opera track. Back in those younger days I would tag along with my mom to the summer opera festival at Simpson College, which is quite good. These days when my opera friend has an extra ticket I attend the LA Opera with him. Not too shabby. Recently saw Rigoletto.

Our post Thanksgiving feast gathering enjoyed My Man Godfrey (1936), nominated for multiple Oscars. Enjoyed it. Superb writing and acting. Though a screwball comedy, I saw the movie as a scathing look at the haves versus the have-nots, and the contemptuous nature of the idle rich. In a modern light the movie was guilt trippy when thinking about today's Hoovervilles. I wondered whether it raised eyebrows back when the red scare was being conjured up in Hollywood. http://theretroset.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/Godfrey11.jpg

I see there are several threads on tipping. However I am creating this new thread to focus on a specific issue. I also know there are some hardline anti-tippers here on the forum. I come from parents and family that are frugal, below average tippers, so I feel you. But that's not me, and I'm not really interested in dialoguing with my parents right now. I get a standard haircut, which takes around 20 minutes. I keep my hair short and conservative looking. The gal that cuts my hair is quite good and she is very sweet. She makes me look pretty good. We always carry on a nice conversation. How do some of you handle the holiday tip for your barber? How much does one give and what is the protocol for handing over the tip? Does one hand it with a small card? I see recommendations on the internet for the $$ amount. I also see recommendations that giving a small gift is appropriate. What kind of gift might work for tipping a barber?

Thanks for the link. -
Found this Jessica Phillips interview (at the link below) about the Dear Evan Hansen tour. She comments about the remarkable Ben Levi Ross halfway through. I'd see it a third time in LA if I could get tickets. Had second row seats for the second performance and recommend it. Sit as close as you can! So amazing. I loved the dance steps with Evan and Connor where Jared eventually joins on. Fun stuff. https://www.broadway.com/videos/158941/the-broadwaycom-show-jessica-phillips-of-the-dear-evan-hansen-national-tour/?page=7&sort=newest Here is a taste of BLR's talent.

I'm curious to visit and see how LGBT people conduct their political discussions on other Websites. What other active forums are there with ongoing political discussions similar to m4m-forum.org? -
