  1. Slate referred to the mothers' "willful stupidity", or worse that they seemed to be pimping out their little boys to MJ, in some cases driving them over there in the middle of the night to climb into bed with him. But as Oprah mentioned last night, his superstar status was a factor in the mothers' failed thinking. I wasn't able to finish Oprah's segment but I will tonight. She adds an important piece and helps raise credibility to the documentary.

  3. I'm glad I read the Slate article after watching Part I. I look forward to Part 2 to help make more sense of what happened to all these boys, and especially the two that were interviewed in the documentary, in particular why these 2 victims and their families originally denied there was abuse. I agree, the subject is important. I found it difficult hearing how these boys, as young as 7, experienced sexual abuse. A difficult subject.
  4. I thought this thread was at death's door, That said it's come back to haunt me. So for now, Bye Felicia
  5. Don Gibson's original version Cover from Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music
  6. "Oranges" by Gary Eldon Peter sounds perfect for me. I added it my queue. Another great coming of age book, this one takes place at the opposite side of the country from Oranges, is Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, about a Latinx boy in El Paso and his unique worldview. It's a lovely book by critically acclaimed author Benjamin Alire Sáenz .
  7. The sting covered multiple states and resulted in many customers being dragged into the case. Seems worrisome, how massage parlors are part of health and entertainment choices for many men. The silver lining might be the hypocrisy brought to light if enough of the perps are rich Repubs, like Kraft The family values party again.
  8. The articles linked above allege some horribly nefarious behavior, similar to Cosby, yet worse because of the deaths.
  9. Even worse, if he was not white, he'd be wearing an orange jumpsuit long time now. The linked articles revealed more of a menace than our local news has been reporting. Absolutely frightening, a monster.
  10. Yes, I have. I don't understand why he isn't is jail. Maybe because the dead young men were gay and black?
  11. Understood So, bottom line is, our comments are mostly guesswork and stuff we paste from Googling about it.
