  1. Responding to all of you. I know, right?
  2. I tag along with my straight pal to various entertainment venues around LA and this year he invited me to experience Gustavo Dudamel, music director, LA Phil. I'd wanted to see Dudamel more often and glad I finally am. Last Sunday was the launch of Thomas Ades' Inferno, an orchestral work commissioned by the LA Phil as part of its centenary. Was magnificent. Part 2 of the work will premier next year. Last Sunday's performance will broadcast on KUSC later next month. Check their website. Last night included Egmont. Simply brilliant. Also Hayden Symphony No 104. Lovely. Lang Lang performed Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 2. He is magic. I'd never seen him in concert before. He was looking very svelte and elegant last night. Lang Lang really plays from both his head and heart. That's the best way I can put it. Afterward Dudamel and Lang Lang were both so gracious towards each other and the audience. Was a special moment that brought a lump in my throat. I picked up Lang Lang's new release in the gift store. His encore last night was from his new CD, Lang Lang Song Book,
  3. therapeutic. good value.
  4. Thanks for nothing Oprah
  5. Cersai and Jamie buried alive was too economical. ? Or did Cersai and Jaime really die? Will Bran stop living in the past now?
  6. Nothing is wrong with wanting that. Sounds like a great topic for a men's therapy group. But when you are 86, you might look back and wish you hadn't put your life on hold over not having it, and wish you were 46 again, with a chance to tailor your approach to living. That's just a guess though right? How can we imagine taking care of our future 86 year old selves? On the other hand, our older selves deserve it. You deserve it. Also, there are some very nice escorts that might be willing to explore your feelings. I'm not a medical professional. I'm just brainstorming here. Might not be your thing. Lastly, give yourself permission to stop watching MSNBC, since you mentioned it. Washington Post will give you a sample of what's going on without the stressful hype of MSNBC. Seriously! I'd encourage subscribing to WAPO and turning off MSNBC.
  7. Treating yourself well. Diet, exercise. Conscious decisions to interrupt cycles of thinking if you recognize they are going nowhere. Sounds like you are focused on being single. Maybe that is part of the thinking you might try to interrupt. Cultivate your friendships. Be kind and respectful to your friends. Add to your social network. Add activities.
  8. The film was never lost. The article mentions technology caught up with the original mistakes that resulted in flaws trying to sync the audio. What I recall from our local NPR reporting, after the film elements were properly integrated, Aretha Franklin did not agree to the terms, and so the film was not released. I forgot why she refused to go ahead. Was not that long ago NPR reported on this. 2 or 3 years maybe. After her death, the filmmakers paid their respects to the family in Detroit, but waited until a little while and then came back to discuss the film with them. The family came to terms, allowing release of the film. First theater screenings were in LA and NYC last Fall. It is screening here so perhaps is in wide release now.
  9. Did the empty feeling and diminished interest in sex begin after starting the anti-depressants?
