I decided if they rejected me when I came out I would move away and cut them out. But they sort of got it. Could be worse. My Mom became a volunteer at the AiDS service office in town. Perhaps that was some kind of magical thinking that her service would bring me good karma. I guess it worked. The brother that lives in Colorado and screams lock her up while watching Fox News allowed me to stay at his place with a "friend". But he clearly believes marriage equality is an example the Constitution being hijacked by reactionary judges. I haven't asked him how it is having a gay governor. I moved away from the homeland anyway, after I came out, eventually to a place I said I would never live. But one can't predict life's circumstances. Karma I guess.

Put this guy on your bucket list. His Rach#2 performance blew the roof off the place last night. (and he was certainly looking fit and trim ) You could tell Dudamel and the orchestra knew they were in the presence of extraordinary talent. He is going to Toronto, Boston and Pittsburgh among his scheduled events .

Wolverines marched down the field and scored, opening drive. Exciting stuff! Seems a whole lot of OSU fans in the stadium. Surprised to see some empty seats in the very upper section.

On the topic of burgers, for a meatless burger experience, Whale N Ale in San Pedro has a hearty Portobello mushroom burger. A nice British pub experience in LA.

I am really late on this one. Watched it twice while waiting out the rain pouring down here in SoCal. Loved this movie. Very well done. I took away some important messages. Glad to know about the movie and the history of the events. A lot to unpack. Accomplished a lot. Fionn Whitehead was perfect as Tommy. Christopher Nolan knew what he was doing with this cast, IMO.

Whatever is being served. Back in the day when I was still a mere youngster, there was this small bake shop in south Minneapolis run by this grumpy, old black dude and a skinny white lady with gray hair (his wife?). That was the first place I ever had sweet potato pie. You could take away by the slice. I had never heard of such a thing, sweet potato pie, and I expect most of the Scandahoovian types living up there hadn't either. Yet we were a daring lot or at least I was that day I tried to impress the skinny lady with gray hair that I was going to try a piece of the sweet potato pie. I loved it, and ordered an entire pie to bring to gay brunch at a friends over in Powderhorn Park the next weekend. There were some wrinkled noses and even a look of horror on some of their faces when I explained to the gay brunch folk what it was, but soon enough I heard a coworker summon his partner, "honey you have to try this". It didn't suck after all. I stopped going to that shop, not one to put up with such a grumpy proprietor. Sadly I haven't tasted such good sweet potato pie since then. There was that viral thing not long ago on YouTube about Patti LaBelle's sweet potato pie sold at Walmart. I'll just say that you get what you pay for. I expect if I gave it some effort I might be able to find some good sweet potato pie somewhere here in LA.

Not everyone likes this book, Less by Andrew Sean Greer, but I did. Finished it today. It did win the Pulitzer Prize for fiction, so does have some strengths. Interesting how the world has evolved, giving a Pulitzer to a book about a gay character. Here is one of several articles one can find on the internet. The Pulitzer Prize Winning Novel 'Less' By Andrew Sean Greer Is Exactly The Book We Need Right Now

I expect some guys take extra good care of their favorite hires while still living, and might also leave them something after they are gone. Perhaps they created a soft spot in your hard gay heart.

I no longer promote In-N-Out, but I do promote this sweety pie.

Naked congressional gym, I'd rather this locker room.

Malta sounds intriguing. But yeah, I hate flying too. So glad I can drive to PS for some fun loving gay hi-jinks.

I never regret it and happy to spend on sweet, gay dudes.

I've watched some stuff on Hallmark (besides Golden Girls). Can be appealing. http://awsprxdam.crownmediadev.com/preview/2107736.jpg
