I used to read Penthouse Forum letters to catch the occasional gay story there. One involved a guy, self-described as a small guy, on a business trip. So, I've never done the private massage thing, but am considering it - and all these reviews and comments freak me out! Sounds like a den of thieves, fakes, and weirdos. Is this the case? And yes, I know - "you have to do your research" - but is it even worth it? Are there any legit guys for this in NYC?

Living Fresh is usually the place I go to the most, tried quite a few of there treatments and just regular massage. What are you looking for, to get out of it and budget (they are on the higher-end for massages on this forum)?

There should be a thread here called Spa Wars, where newbies discredit each other's masseurs and stop cluttering the rest of the other threads. Leaving it at that.

Although frequently disparaged here, I have always done "pot luck" at Manta Spa, and have never been completely disappointed.
Wide range of styles, and extras offered but never disappointed by the basic massage service. Always ask for the shower massage if you are shopping for extra attention.
Lots of different guys in and out of there, but never once have I run into anyone who wasn't skilled in one way or another.
