You're not going to avoid the resort fee at any LV major hotel. You always add that $35 per night to any hotel rate. At the Hard Rock you do avoid a parking fee and can use self-park which is very rare for the majors. $67 per night at a 4.5* resort hotel is still exceptional. Unfortunately the weekend rates, like everywhere in LV, are way higher by far.
