  1. Hon, you didn't watch enough To Catch a Predator. They arrest you when you show up at the agreed location. There is no provider or fake provider. I had a former tenant entrapped not long ago by the feds. He was an attractive young man who had a very high position in a federal agency here in DC. From his porn etc left it seems he was into S&M with muscle guys mostly. But somehow the feds used a website they had confiscated in Miami to entrap gay men by sending out photos of underage guys and chatting. His case was someone asked him if he had ever had sex with someone under 16 and he replied not since he was under 16 himself. They asked if he would and he said it could be interesting. That one statement and his receiving and downloading the pic of an underage guy (knowingly or not- it's strict liability) was his crime. For that one incident 20 agents with submachine guns raided the house and destroyed everything. He plead and got 5 years federal time and served 4 at that North Carolina sex offender prison. Soliciting for prostitution has reached that level of being considered sex trafficking now after SESTA while providers are more considered "victims". It's no game. . If you go Fed, you're not coming back for a long time is the saying. That's why I don't like seeing the feds in these cases.
  2. i did a brief on the case for a RB defendant. Hiring for prostitution on Rentmen is done in the US by US clients with US providers. Doesn't matter if an internet message may go through servers in Amsterdam or Berlin if they go after clients. I always switch to Telegram a.s.a.p. when possible though US providers are slow to adopt it. . It's more fun and has free porn besides. Absolutely private, not saved long and can't be screenshotted. .
  3. Rentboy showed how vicious they can be going after a gay sex trafficking site. Unable to easily reach Rentmen, they may have to go against the individual clients in the US. That doesn't play into our favor.
  4. Set boundaries to make life easier:
  5. if you think jailing homosexual predators is not very popular with law enforcement you have not known anyone caught up in that shuffle where the victim often ends up in prison.
  6. Trying to figure out how Jerry Smith could have been more out. This is tremendous disrespect to him.
  7. This was a federal operation of Homeland Security. Their announcement seems gleeful that Texas is the first state to make hiring a felony, but it's Homeland Security going after hiring for sex. SESTA charges coming? Once it becomes federal it's a whole different ballgame. In the CBP cases the agents told people they were face-recognized on Rentmen, an "international sex trafficking site" the federal government was "monitoring closely". Just as with SESTA, in election years like 2024, both government parties will compete to get further to the right on hiring. Be cautious.

  9. I assume to set preset preferences for different users. But maybe targeted advertising. would follow.
  10. I personally would hesitate to hire anyone who's clients have not been heard from again since 2021 for several reasons.
  11. Unfortunately I think most stores are hybrid checkout now in regular lines. The cashier rings the items up and tosses them down the belt where you have to scurry to bag them as the next customer's items start coming while also trying to get the damn card to work on tap and finally f++kin inserting the thing with the left hand while packing the heavy stuff on top of the bread with the right hand (as the cashier gives you a surly look to hurry the f up). But you also get the snarly condescending look and comments from the cashier "helping" with 4 self-checkouts if you choose that method of humiliation.
  12. But in a mostly facial recognition payment system like Just Walk Out you can still have a bank account or debit card for payment that alerts you to spending and balance. Many give awards or there's many 2%-back cards. I just carry 5s. 10s and 20s for tips (very important in life) (plus a quarter in the car for Aldi).
  13. IDK. I mean I remember what cash is, but I'd imagine anyone who has some of it they need to use would go to customer service to change their payment method for that trip to it or something. You can change your Amazon payment method to a bank account. You can also insert a debit card to enter the store and be responsible for items you take.. But once you get used to shopping without checkouts (including by having deliveries), you appreciate what a pita grocery checkouts are.
  14. It's so much more fun to stick something in your pocket and walk out. Self checkout vs cashiers is such an a 20-teens debate. Once I got used to Just Walk Out at my Whole Foods and my Fresh it seems inconceivable (for better or worse) that cashiers or self-checkout either is still around. Amazon must want too much for it's patents and that's Amazon's fault for not getting the tech's cost down yet. Facial recognition is cheap and pervasive. But it's pretty much 100% accurate, they credit your entire tab if there is any mistake (almost never) and there's zero shoplifting. It's 2023, let's stop pretending Big Brother doesn't already have a million id checks on each of us and everything we do or say.
