FYI coronavirus bingewatchers: Watching Better Call Saul on Netflix I discovered the world of opening up certain, even future, episodes through VPN. The licensing issues are mostly US so VPNs often allow you to watch episodes not available, or only available for a fee. For example Seasons 1-4 are available on US Netflix free. On AMC season 5 episodes are available for 2 weeks after first airing only and other Season 5 episodes are very expansive on Prime, etc. However setting my VPN to Berlin ( a Non-P2P VPN) and signing into Netflix from there (it takes a couple tries before Netflix relents), all 10 Season 5 episodes are available for free immediately. This may well work for many other series. I use AVG VPN which is free for 7 days (or $10 for 5 machines for 1 year on Newegg) and easy to use but there are many available. Of course one is using VPN for privacy, not to evade fees.

I'm not sure China verifies items being shipped like USPS does. And the Chinese companies give fake (or Chinese) shipping numbers that USPS doesn't recognize. I've had many Chinese packages show up in under 2 weeks, regardless of "estimated arrival", and I've had many never show up. I'm surprised Amazon lets some of these firms get away with so much. Iseem to have better luck on Ebay with Chinese shippers.

Reconsidering Urban Mass Rapid Transit & High Density Housing
+ tassojunior replied to Epigonos's topic in The Lounge
These viruses, even coronaviruses, are coming at a fast clip. It won't be the last. And biological warfare is a major thing now. Let robots have the factories and AI do the grunt work. Important work is mostly on the web in the future. -

There are pupper masks now (in case they can catch I guess): -

I think most of the foster-care arrangement outfits are empty. Everyone else had the same idea. I also checked around DC. -
The worst has not begun and today, I found it hard to go on.

I wonder if your hospital has tried this......putting oxygen in blood outside the body while the lungs are not functional.... https://www.yahoo.com/news/first-arizona-patient-ventilator-survives-104531736.html also, I hate to post items because they sell out but Amazon has this oximeter for $30 shipped by early May and there are other ads for sooner for more. Over $35 gets free shipping. https://www.amazon.com/CONTEC-CMS50M-Oximeter-Waveform-Carrying/dp/B07D8R4G5H/ref=zg_bs_3775161_11?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=VJ6SRZ19QRK47WXARFV1 An oximeter is important for sleep apnea or coronavirus etc. I don't trust instruments so I ordered 2 cheap oximeters and 3 cheap thermometers. (and yes, I wear a cloth mask over my cheap surgical mask). I also use this good Lung Meter. Only $15 shipped fast. https://www.amazon.com/Quest-AsthmaMD-Lung-Performance-Meter/dp/B00B9AOKP6/ref=zg_bs_3775161_49?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=VJ6SRZ19QRK47WXARFV1 -

I have several of the cheap masks ordered from China on Amazon and I noticed they put a "USPS" tracking number on which USPS does not recognize. Maybe it's a Chinese tracking # or maybe it's fake. Anyway at $5 for 50 I'm not cancelling until delivery time from China is past. I've actually had better luck on ebay.

TP must be rolling to stores again. This morning my Trader Joes had both their 6-pack and the new single roll stuff (for .59!).
-
Of course if they never come Amazon is easy to get an instant refund. I haven't received any of the ones I ordered 50 for $5 but I'm giving another week since they're from China. If not, refund. I have received a few others more expensive. Strangely, I've found ebay cheaper and more reliable on CV-related stuff.

Unclaimed bodies are either buried by the local government or cremated. Since most people are cremated now they should move to cremation.

What ya wanna bet David Geffen is not alone on that $400 million yacht he's quarantining on in the Grenadines. or that the crew is not bad looking. Some smart gay reporter needs to send a camera drone over his yacht to see who this season's hunks are. https://www.theguardian.com/fashion/2020/mar/30/self-isolate-giant-yacht-david-geffen-social-media Maybe invited his ex: -
Many stories today about how many meat packers will be closing down because so many of their workers are infected. Time to learn vegan. I'm surprised more grocery workers aren't also dropping or refusing to work. The masks and shields make a big difference now but what about the thousands of people who breathed on them the last month? Also, how much longer are these factories making processed food going to stay open, much less the meat packing plants. And I hope the truckstops are more sanitary than I remember.

Finally did "Tiger King", Joe Exotic yesterday. Could not stop in the 7 hours. Stayed up til 2. Easy to see why the country is mesmerized. Needed the "comic" relief after Westworld and The Outsider. Growing up down south I can relate.

I got some early in March but since then I've had the same canceling problems. Of the masks that look good and are comfortable and cheap now the bicycle masks are still around. They're cheap, high tech and replaceable filter screens. Bicycle stores may have them. Eddie Bauer and some sports places have neck gaiters. I don't understand the shortage of the cheap paper masks online. If you're around a doc's office. hospital, etc they'll give you one if you say you don't want to sneeze or cough on anyone. My Kaiser receptionist gave me one in fractions of a second before I got the word "or" out. FWIW- Amazon is selling N95 masks to medical people for 85 cents shipped overnight.
