  1. I’m not a fan of pasta, so I use my spiralizer to make yellow squash “spaghetti”. I serve meat balls and marinara sauce over them for a delicious paleo meal. Also make a scratch Bolognese and serve it the same way.
  2. Salmon roasted in the oven after brushing it with olive oil and adding salt, pepper and smoked paprika is simple and delicious. When I’m on the island in the summer, l buy fresh caught salmon and halibut all the time. A favorite with halibut is to prepare it with butter in a cast iron skillet, 5 minutes to each side on medium heat (I have gas). Absolutely perfect.
  3. I confess to spending a fair amount on clothes. I recently bought black leather and merino wool fleece car coat from Orvis for $3200, made in the US. Three years ago I spent the same for a custom made navy cashmere overcoat. I have two pairs of Alden cordovan leather boots, one in black and one in #8 cordovan that were around $800. And on and on.
  4. That’s exactly the procedure I follow, scheduling the time of the live call by text.
  5. I started hitting the Boom in the mid 90’s. Off the charts fun! Woody’s, which replaced The Little Shrimp, was also fun. I lived 30 years just south of Laguna and it was quite the fun time. The WEHO boys would come down on Memorial Day, the 4th and Labor Day and we’d all comingle at West Beach, followed by drinks and dinner at Mark’s or Shame on the Moon, and then head to the Boom. We OC boys always received invitations to come up to WEHO after being such awesome hosts in OC. It really was the time of my life. So many beautiful boys. https://www.lagunabeachmagazine.com/a-gay-heyday/
  6. I generally am out by 9 am for the reasons you stated.
  7. I always have at least a phone call before a first meet. The providers who agree all say they’re glad they did.
  8. Not to mention Laguna Beach in its heyday.
  9. Yes I read that a few days ago. I rarely go out for coffee, but when I do, and the server is nice, I pay cash and leave the change or a dollar. If it’s a cute guy, often more. What I’m referring to is going to the local deli and ordering a salad or something that’s already made, or simply buying something in the store, and being confronted with an electronic tip request. That’s absurd.
  10. Fortunately I never have to fly through ORD anymore. I usually only do direct flights. When I lived in OC and traveled extensively for business (1.7 million miles on AA alone) I had no choice but to connect via DFW or ORD to go east.
  11. I always knew it as sitting cross-legged. I never heard the term Indian-style.
  12. I agree. I’m not afraid to put “no tip” on the pay pad when I self serve.
  13. When I was at my Seattle area place for a month I tried out 3 new providers. The first was fine, but not enough to see again. The second didn’t do much for me and the third was a a pleasant texter but showed up in a bad mood, immediately stifling my libido and buoying my spirits after he left without me wanting to touch him, although he was compensated as agreed. Back home now, I’m eagerly anticipating tonight’s session with a new provider, since one of my long-time favorites has moved to Arizona and hasn’t had an ad in five years. Just received a few texts: “Today is the day!” and “my priority is making sure you have a memorable experience”. What an antidote for the occasional rude or monosyllabic text!

    Vintage men

I still have a vivid memory of a gorgeous tanned blond riding a motorcycle shirtless on the 5 SB in Santa Ana years ago.
  15. Brock Purdy at Iowa State
  16. He’s become a muscle man!
  17. Tough break for Brock today. It was a downward spiral as the Birds crushed them.
  18. Same thing with our Columbus Day.
  19. Pretty daring for a straight boy from Tupelo MS. I wonder what he’d think of his presence on a gay forum?
