Currently I’m having an “on the clock off the clock” fling with a very cute guy in his mid-20’s. We’ve become quite fond of each other and are developing a great friendship. At this point I’m simply enjoying it and feeling buoyant. I’m also a realist, so I have no illusions about its ultimate direction, since I’m not interested in partnering with anyone. Sometimes these gossamer relationships appear and should simply be relished.

I just learned this last night. I took a special friend out to dinner at a trendy place last night and I asked him if he thought our server was gay and he said “yes, did you see his pride tat?”. He asked the server about a few of his tattoos and he replied that he’d gotten them in Japan, adding that they have the best tattoo artists in the word.

As with most of East Asia, they are fond of Germans, though.

That’s happened to me a few times, twice with R/T airfares for which I thankfully secured refunds. I’ve only had a few $50 deposits result in no-shows. 95% of the time I’ve never been asked for a deposit: but, of course, this topic has been discussed ad nauseam, and here I am contributing to it yet again!

It’s more a great body for a 35 yo.

I turned one away years ago who looked nothing like his ad. He started getting demanding and I glared at him and said “you don’t want to go there” and he left without any drama. Other than that I’ve had my share of dopes and duds but never anyone who would warrant non-payment. Like others, I leave the comp on the counter where they can see it. The hot encounters have far exceeded the duds, thankfully.

I’ve only contributed to local groups, esp. conservation-oriented, and have never received solicitations from other charities. I also give to an AIDS group in town, but request anonymity since I’ve heard they do share lists.
