Another reason I never signed up for any of these apps. -
We spent an overnight at my place near Seattle in summer of 2019. We’d met at the PS gathering. He paid his own fare from Las Vegas, so I presumed he was seeing others in Seattle. Really lovely time.

Indisputably true; however we’ve now entered the era of “grasping” capitalism and plutocracy. For example, the destruction of regional banking to the benefit of the mega-banks. Rent-seeking and crony capitalism are the norm now.

I’ve noticed the same thing, but I also have a filter. A lot of online retail shops offer 15% off for your first order, so I use a sock-puppet account for those, so I never see their subsequent ads.
