    I spend Christmas and Thanksgiving with family and always enjoy it, but lately I like being back at my house by early evening and listening to Bach’s Christmas Oratorio. I find that quite delightful! If I’m not busy, a booking on NYE can be fun. In 2020, I spent it with the now retired Dancing Twink, who spent the night. The next morning I made breakfast and we enjoyed a bottle of Veuve. Most pleasant!

    The only exceptions are Episcopal/Anglican priests who switch over to the RC priesthood. Also, priests in the Uniate churches, based in Galicia, near L’viv in western Ukraine and under papal authority, may marry. So there is precedent to change the clerical celibacy rule.
