So very true! I follow several young friends on Instagram and their lives seem so enviably joyous and endlessly exciting, but I know differently.

A young provider I saw a half a dozen times around 2005 hanged himself in his closet. It was a bit of a sensation at the time. Several providers I know are on several medications. It’s a brutal world out there.

Sometimes closing with “good luck” can be a bit off-putting.

That’s about the same verbiage that I use. It’s to the point, non-triggering, and opens the conversation up to an adjustment in fees, if the provider desires.
