  1. Years back Ryan Gosling starred as a young Hercules in a tv series which was a spin-off of the Kevin Sorbo series. It took place at the school run by the wise centaur Chiron. Chiron was the teacher of many of the ancient heroes. Achilles and Patroclus met there.
  2. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Improvisational_theatre In the recent episode of "Modern Family" Manny's girlfriend is into improv. Me, I don't care for it.
  3. When I was working one day the office was so cold so when I came back from lunch I brought a blanket and bundled up in it. I even called the employees' rep to see what the rules were.
  4. I remember almost nothing about the movie now. I was surprised that nuns would see such a movie. They were the same religious order that took care of my grandmother when she had her legs amputated but how they had changed in 25 years!
  5. This is the recent poll at Gay Star News Would you be happy to date someone who didn’t drink alcohol? Yes, absolutely! I could but I’d prefer it if my partner drank occasionallyNo - I don’t think we’d be compatible ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ When I was working last century there was an annual Christmas Party. Since I left they no longer do it. But the employees group would look around pricing here and there. I remember that at some places the cost was must lower if there were no alcohol being being served. But some co-workers were adamant that there must be alcohol.
  6. Peter Hung says that he is currently ranked in the TOP 3 highest reviewed escorts in the WORLD! Who might the other two be?
  7. I was just looking at the Peter Hung site. He charges $5,000 per week. That would be easy for a billionaire to pay - $260,000 per year.
  8. There are no medical pot stores here where I live.
  9. No thanks! I have not even ever smoked a cigarette.
  10. When I'm online - not watching programs - I like to have the radio on. During the week there are political shows but on the weekends it paid programming. But there is a gardening show. When I was a boy my job was to mow the lawn. But one year I did grow a vegetable garden and my (female) cousin and I went to the town selling things door-to-door.
  11. There used to be a show called "Love American Style". It was PG. I remember one segment a woman heard that you could tell the size of a man's penis by looking at his toes. She tried without success to get him barefoot. Ultimately she realized one could tell by looking at his fingers.
  12. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gnaeus_Pompeius_Magnus_(husband_of_Claudia_Antonia) "Claudius had successfully conquered Britain and had added Britain as a province to the Roman Empire. Claudius had sent Pompeius to the Roman Senate to proclaim to the senators, that his father-in-law had conquered Britain. According to Suetonius he died in 47, because he was stabbed to death while in bed with a favorite boyfriend. Cassius Dio states that Roman Empress Valeria Messalina (who was Claudius' third wife and out of her fear, of Pompeius being a rival to Messalina and Claudius’ son Britannicus) ordered his death" Just a little gay history that I came across. Just goes to show that one should not mess with Messalina. :p:p:p
  13. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Beard He was a chef. I was watching "Hell's Kitchen" and there was a guest who had won the James Beard Award twice so I decided to look him up. He was gay!
  14. When I was a schoolboy I didn't know anyone I thought might be like me.
  15. Gay may have been around but it didn't have that definition in the dictionary I had.
  16. Move to Prague! Become partners with George Duroy and Belami.

  18. http://www.hup.harvard.edu/catalog.php?isbn=9780674967854 Allegories of the Iliad John Tzetzes "To make the Iliad relevant to his Christian audience, Tzetzes reinterpreted the pagan gods from various allegorical perspectives. As historical allegory (or euhemerism), the gods are simply ancient kings erroneously deified by the pagan poet; as astrological allegory, they become planets whose position and movement affect human life; as moral allegory Athena represents wisdom, Aphrodite desire." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Tzetzes ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This book sounds fascinating. I'm looking forward to reading it.
  19. That would make a great tee-shirt! :p:p:p
