  1. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ode_to_Billy_Joe_(film) This movie was mentioned in another forum. A young man has sex with another male and then commits suicide. Should this movie be considered anti gay, homophobic?
  2. I do indeed! I remember the movie https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ode_to_Billy_Joe_(film)
  3. I just hope that gay couples don't try to imitate such nonsense! Just goes to show that they should never have legalized heterosexual marriage!
  4. Gracias. I know some words have both an "o" and an "a". Like naranjo is an orange tree and naranja is the orange fruit. I thought maybe, hoping that there was something similar for calendula,
  5. Was that for incoming or outgoing?
  6. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trick-or-Treat_for_UNICEF First time I heard of this was on an episode of "Bewitched" years ago. I have never heard of anyone being asked this.
  7. He's gay. Available for the BFE. But does nor mention kissing.
  8. My front door is solid. I was watching "Chicago Fire" and Kelly went to visit his father. His father's front door has a large clear window pane. From the outside one could look into the entry hall. Of course that allows the person who is in the house to easily see who is knocking.

  11. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calendula The Spanish word for the Marigold flower is Calendula. If one wanted to call a pretty young man after the flower would it be El Calendula? El Calendulo? Other?

    Hansom Cab

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hansom_cab I remember a Sherlock Holmes movie where Holmes and Watson (Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce) came to America. So Dr Watson wants to hail a horse drawn cab and says "Hansom". The driver took it as "Handsome" made some quick remark and drove past.

    Hey!

I've noticed that the use of the word "Hey" as a greeting is becoming commonplace. But it's use as such goes back awhile. I remember when I was a boy I had this schoolmate whose father whenever he heard a boy say "Hey" he would say "Hay is for horses". Thus I'd say "Hi" or "Hello".
  14. You have a good point about "Hey". I'm going to start another thread.
  15. Zola Budd was a South African runner. Some taxicabs are named after her. Thus I thought if one wanted to hail a taxi they could say "HEY BUDD". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zola_Budd#Cultural_impact
  16. I thought that Connor formerly of CF would at least claim to be bisexual but he says no. He's married with wife and child.
  17. This is the current poll at Gay Star News How do you greet someone on a first date? Hug Kiss on the cheek Kiss on the lips Handshake Say hi and sit down
  18. Thanks! No big deal then. I thought maybe it could be Manny's girlfriend. A mime accident! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The actor who plays Dylan is gay in real life https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reid_Ewing I was glad to see his character return.
  19. What is that supposed to mean? I can imagine in a heterosexual dating site a man saying "I'm gay acting".
  20. This was only the second episode. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Kids_Are_Alright_(TV_series)
