When my paternal grandmother turned 18 (September) her mother told her that she was not going to lay around the house and have her father support her this upcoming Winter. My grandfather was in his early 30s and still living at home. I don't know how their first date was arranged but my grandmother said that she was walking down the street with a girlfriend when she saw my grandfather drive by. She then remembered that they had a date and went back home. They were married in December that year. They had three children. They were married less than 10 years; my grandmother found someone else. My grandfather moved back home with his parents; he never remarried.
My mother ran a boarding house.
Looks-wise my parents were opposites. My mother was blonde with blue eyes and my father had black hair with brown eyes. Though my father is 4th generation American he is of English heritage but with dark looks. My mother at first thought it was Italian.
I am combo of the two; I have / had brown hair and hazel eyes. My mother died when I was in my early 20s and my hair turned gray.
I called my parents "mom" and "dad". I called my maternal grandmother "gram". I never knew my maternal grandfather; he died when my mother was a teenager. I called my paternal grandmother "grandmother". My paternal grandparents divorced when my father was young. I rarely saw my grandfather; I don't remember what I called him. He died when I was 8.

He was a long time actor on the British soap opera "Coronation Street".
But now he is on the Australian soap opera "Neighbours". His character may be gay or he's pretending to be as a means to an end; he's out for revenge. Today he kissed briefly the son of the man he's out to get.
I've been watching some of the old Jack Benny tv shows on YouTube. I know he is straight but his mannerisms are just so fey. He can do so much with just one word or with a pause or a look.
I remember once reading he and the cast were traveling and the hotel they were booked for refused to allow Rochester to stay there so Jack refused to stay there and they went elsewhere.
Thanks! I was hoping with my results and seeing what my aunt's were I could determine what I got from my father and what I got from my mother but that wasn't possible.
I wonder if it is indeed possible to separate the parental lines?
There are several companies doing DNA testing. I have thought of trying another company just to see what their results would be.
I did it several years ago. Both of my parents are long dead but I have an elderly aunt (father's sister, same parents). I sent her the test kit. I was surprised that some things showed up on hers that were not on mine.
