I’m the atypical skeptic about table showers. I have had many at Utopia. The room is clean, the water temp perfect, and they use a fairly good quality product. It’s a great value overall.

 

For me, the plastic covering the table becomes slippery once gel is used and I feel like an eel about to slide off. Also laying on a wet plastic surface feels weird. It’s a personal reaction. I am not a huge fan of someone washing me. I’ve had a few private masseurs who begin the session with a shower. I like that very much!

 

That said, having a shower after a good massage let’s you leave totally refreshed.

Dylan looks after his regulars really well though. If you manage to come often enough that he remembers you, you get his best massage, which is incredible.

 

Mike does behave strangely, I am not into his massage. And Jason upsells so, not for me.

Exactly! Agree with all points here! And Michael just sucks. He’s so bizarre. First time I’ve ever felt like really just leaving. Usually I put up with stuff but oooooof, was not jiving with him. Waste of money.

Totally understand your situation , I had Dylan for a four hands massage and felt he not only wasn’t good at massage but also put lots of attitude if you didn’t tip him well . Jason (is hella handsome and strong Asian ) &Michael( worked there for a while ) you need book them instead of Dylan . That’s my tips for Babylon .

I have to agree with this. He def knows what he is doing and take his time, knows my pressure preferences and is a lot of fun. And I’ve had a LOT of massages in and out of these spas (as I’m sure more of you have). I havent gone back in a while as I want something new and different but Dylan is usually great for me. Sucks he doesn’t work for some of the others.

Anyone been recently? Did a drive by last night, Andy and Jason were both with clients. Got a new guy “Ken”. B- massage. Needs more experience. But after, I saw this amazing looking, very tall (at least 6’1”) Asian. Anyone know who he is? He’s younger and leaner than Andy.

Someone wrote that Jerry left EMS. I Used Will once and he was okay. Fair massage skills. If I went again I’d def try Bao or Eric.

 

I’ve never had a bad experience at EMS but I don’t think the place is clean and the rooms are small. I’m not a big person and I needed to do acrobatics to change clothes. The towels are either clean but very old or old and not very clean.

I just had Jerry at EMS tonight. He’s still there and still amazing.

I do agree that if a rate changes, the masseur should assume responsibility of letting you know. Once I find a masseur and like them, I never go back for their site as they are saved in my phone. Assume it’s your standard rate unless he states otherwise. OR- you can bring it up and it’ll likely not apply to you as a regular.

If it does, then you can decide if it’s within your budget or not to keep hiring him. Chances are the steady clients are the ones he will want to keep and won’t increase rates for. Good luck!

The walls at Utopia never bother me.

I almost forget that they don’t go all the way up.

It’s so clean, pleasant, welcoming, and everyone is courteous. They offer beverages, have table shower options, and they take their time. It’s truly a relaxing experience from the minute you walk in, until you leave.

I’ve never had anyone upsell me. I would tell Jack in an instant if that happens. He’s good to his customers and would nip that quickly.

They also have a nice variety of masseurs there- all skilled to a degree and all Sexy.

Only other spa that has better accomdations is Super Mens but that is hit or miss with the masseurs AND they charge a LOT more.

Green house is nice too but I’m always bored of the masseurs there.

As much as having the previous thread removed sucks, if it’s a matter of having that come down VS having this forum removed completely due to violations, I’d much rather prefer the former.

We are all supremely lucky that this place is here and we should appreciate and respect the decisions made by the moderators.

And I also agree with that previous thread was becoming littered with random posts and confusing responses - I, myself, am guilty of that too.

We have a chance to start fresh.

I say we use this opportunity to be careful what we say and share. Quote the posts we are referring to. And if you make a comment or share recommendations about anything, then we should state clearly which spa it is and which masseur we’re referring to so to avoid confusion.

Clean slate! I’m all about it. And again, rather have this than the whole forum gone!

Yikes! Not sure about M Star or Hero.

They both are the dregs if the massage world.

Jimmy @ Hero is good in terms of the after massage but there are no real skills there for massage and quite frankly, Hero is disgusting.

MStar sucks too. The towels are dirty, the place is beat down and they negotiate tips midway. You have to pay in advance and if the service sucks, you’re out of luck.

W Man, while not super fancy, is still a great option if you get Andy. He’s tried and true and the massage is solid as well as the extras.

Greenhouse is good. Allen and Tony are fine but nothing about either of them wow me. Massage is good, regular end- never any fireworks.

Babylon has its days. Dylan was my go-to there but have been bored with them lately. And he can be inconsistent/moody. But the shower is the best.

Utopia has been my favorite as of late. Nice, clean, respectful masseurs and always a baller experience. I’ve had mostly great experiences there and will continue to go.

In terms of August- he is fantastic. He’s super sweet, his massage is solid and feels amazing, and he’s just an overall great guy. Start to finish is a great experience and I love going to him. And it helps that he is super cute.

Jerry at East Man is also super great (if he’s still there). I haven’t been lately as it’s now out of the way for me and also the spa isn’t great.
