Do you spend Valentines Day with your SO (if you have one) or someone special? [i.e. someone who is not paying you] If you work on Valentines Day - Do you get more, fewer, or about the same number of inquiries as on a typical day? I ask because most years VD (ha ha!) usually comes and goes without me even noticing and I saw only one very brief thread on the subject when I logged in today.

Thanks. When you got in touch with him did you call or text? Texting would at least give him the opportunity to use google translate or some such. Paradoxically, though, the fact that his English is poor actually makes me feel a little better; less likelihood of a sting. I may still try getting with him next week but I'm still hoping some other kind hearted forum member can provide a little more info before I take the plunge. Thanks to all. P.S. Vigoda made a living off that running gag for years. He did, though, unlike Kaye Ballad / Doris Day, make occasional TV appearances in the last few decades (remember the super bowl commercial?) and even when still relatively young he looked 20 years older than he actually was.

During Christmas vacation I saw her on an early episode of Match Game and out of curiosity I googled her. I was shocked to learn she was still alive as she had not been seen on TV in decades and not only that she is (was) younger than Betty White! (also a seat #6 alum.) May she RIP.

No that's not the reason, and I don't mean to speak for the OP, but I suspect most of the people giving the above pieces of advice are extroverts (and that is not meant to be a criticism just an observation). I think we all know there are places to meet people ranging from the most hard core sex clubs to the most innocuous needlepoint groups and everything in-between. The problem is when you are an introvert the most terrifying thing in the world is a room full of people you don't know that you are expected to mingle with. These are situations to be avoided at all costs. I think I first realized this when I started grad school. They had a welcome barbecue for new students on registration day before classes started. It was held on the big lawn outside the registrar's office. I remember coming out after filling out all the necessary paperwork to see an ocean of people sitting on blankets on the grass eating and having a good time. I didn't know what to do. I started walking aimlessly through the crowd like I was looking for someone, not making eye contact at all, until I got to the other end of the lawn and then I just kept walking, not looking back and hoping no one even noticed me. That first semester was the most miserable 6 months of my life. Things did get better but very slowly and that initial time of misery left emotional scars that still affect me.

Good thing that kid didn't check out the urban dictionary first.

Writing from my car now. When I walked out the same guy was sitting on the ground outside the front door in the freezing cold still looking at his phone! I so wanted to ask him if he needed a ride but I couldn't choke the words out.

OMG I'm in the locker room of my gym right now and there is a guy sitting right across from me doing exactly what I described in my above post. I've been in here about 5 minutes and he has not looked up from his phone the whole time! Cute one too - big mop of hair, smooth skin, nice hairy pits. This one looks a tad older than the average new guy - maybe early 20's. Wait he just got up put his shirt on and left. :(

Lots of new guys at the gym since Jan 1 but this year is different; they are all very young. Some look impossibly young, and by that I mean under 18. Don't you have to be at least 18 to be a member at one of these joints? Anyway I noticed they all seem to practice the same ritual when they are finished with their workouts. They go into the locker room, take off their shirt (but nothing else), sit on one of the benches, play with their phone for like 10 - 15 minutes, put their shirt back on and leave. Fine with me but the conformity of it seems a little creepy.

I think that happens a lot. My mom still gets Ladies Home Journal (or something like that) in the mail even though she unsubscribed years ago. I've never subscribed to the NSL and its not delivered by the Post Office. They have their own delivery network. And come to think of it I'm still getting my monthly college alumni magazine in the mail 20 years after my "free trial subscription" ended!

Whoever did that god awful botox / face-lift on him deserves the death penalty. Still if the pics are to be believed he has a great body and very nice D. Last time I checked RM his profile said he was only interested in overnight appointments. Has anybody been able to secure a more reasonable session time with him? (like an hour or 2)

In my neighborhood we occasionally get unsolicited free copies of the Sunday (Newark) Star Ledger. They dropped Newark from the name sometime back - for obvious reasons! [cough-Spartacus-cough-cough!!] Someone told me they do this because they are in such sorry shape they give out free copies to artificially boost their "circulation".
