I had the same hesitation, but the reviews were good so I decided to give it a go. I won't be going back. I've had better luck in other similar situations but it's definitely a crap shoot sometimes. It's one of the reasons I check things out here and post when I have something to add to the discussion.

Solidly in the bottom 10% of masseurs I've hired over many years.
The good: a nice set up in a well-kept apartment on Capitol Hill, and he seems like a nice man. Easy to talk to. The pictures are accurate but they didn't really convey his bear-ness. Nothing wrong with that, just a little bit of a surprise when I got there. 
The bad: most importantly, the massage was pretty lousy overall. I asked for deep and got WAY less than that so the therapeutic aspect left much to be desired and his overall technique was uninspired at best. The sensual/erotic aspect was pretty perfunctory -- HE that wasn't connected to much of anything else he did. He used SO MUCH LOTION that I had to wipe myself down with a towel before getting dressed. He offered a shower but I decided it would be better to do that at home. Yuck.
For me it was a waste of time and money. The reviews on RentMasseur say others thought he was pretty good -- although one said he wouldn't go back?  Maybe he was just having a bad night and wasn't into it -- or me?

I know it's almost a year later now, but wanted to chime and say I met with him this week. Nice man, amiable, easy to chat with, remains smoking hot (leaves his fur intact!). A great traditional massage that led into one of the best poundings I've ever had. A fucking THICK pounding by an aggressive top who took charge at that point. Yeah! When he's traveling he's a little hard to schedule with as his time fills up quickly. But I'll gladly take another ride anytime . . . 😈  SIR!

I just had one of the most amazing therapeutic massages from Chad. Absolutely knocked it out of the park. Warning: if you say you like deep work, be prepared: he's well-muscled and definitely well trained and he gets in there. I had to ask him to back off a time or two. Insisted I be draped. Based on comments here I assumed he'd be up for me being nude (my preference) but he dipped back into the bathroom when he saw me laying on the table saying that I needed to be under the sheet. I'm not a youngster any more, but I think I'm still pretty easy on the eye. YMMV of course. Maybe because it was my first time? I'll definitely be back to find out. He's pretty great!

I've seen Rob twice now. Consistent with earlier remarks, he's cautious about getting into particulars by text before you meet -- something I didn't pick up on -- so our first session was "just" a very good therapeutic massage with some sensual elements liberally sprinkled about. Still, I was quite pleased. About a month later our second session also included a very good therapeutic massage, but the sensual/erotic work was much broader. He's a kind, nice, funny guy, gives a really good massage, knows his way around a man's body, and isn't shy about letting you roam around his while he's doing the same with yours. A+. Will definitely hire again.
