  1. So I was at swinging richards Saturday night. The club doesn’t open until 9pm and when they opened the doors a little bit after 9pm they had 60 people in line. By 10 pm when I was able to get in there were probably 100 plus people in line and the parking lot was at capacity. In the old days they would see 300-500 people come through the door on Saturday night I’m guessing it was close to 700 last night. It was crowded and a blast. For the first time In at least a couple of years they started running stage sets with 5 dancers….. and while many of the dancers are past their heyday there are 4 or 5 guys that I would describe as five stars and probably a dozen 3-4 star guys depending on your type. for the most part this weekened. ‘the customers have been friendly, and tip generously during the stage sets. The music has even been pretty good. clearly it was the best weekend, we’ve seen since the pandemic and frakly, lomger than that. Saturday night reminded me of what weekends used to be like 10 years ago. there were lot of smiles, love and laughter among friends and customers and entertainers. Unfortunately the club has been, managed poorly. And is far from what it should be for the last 4 or 5 years /but if you wsnt to get a glimpse before it closes. Next weekend’s yours last chance End of an era…..we will never have anything like it Definitely sad to see it go
  2. It’s open thur, fri and Saturday through 1/15
  3. Unless something changes they will be open that weekend. Last night will be Saturday Jan. 15th…. Their closing time is 3am so last day will actually close for good on 1/16
  4. Yep. Packed like it was 2010 again. Maybe 20 dancers. Took 20 min to get a drink because there were only 2 bartenders and the POS system is from the 1990’s so it takes forever to process a credit card transaction. Ken and Cali make it a fun time, for me anyway. Those two dancers are the kind of hot guys that were common when Matt Colunga ran the place
  5. Thank you for the post above related to the legal issues Bottom line is all of it is related to classifying dancers as independent contractors and not employees. What I find hysterical and I know from speaking with people connected to the cases are two things: 1. Some of the lead plaintiffs in the 3 suits had 1099s in the years they worked at richards in excess of $50,000 dollars…. PER YEAR. (U know the drunk customers that get VIP rooms but don’t have cash have to use credit cards). Those facts were deemed inadmissible. 2. The lawsuit alleges that on most shifts the “employee” made less than $100. If you believe that, you believe Donald Trump always tells the truth again… guys that will never make as much money as they did at SR wanted more money. They killed the golden goose
  6. A few things to mention The owner of swinging richards owns not only the club but the building, the parking lot and building next door. He also has significant legal fees and judgments over lawsuits from dancers related to wages (I.e. they basically had to pay the club to work there through “Tip outs” and were not paid minimum wage. If I’m not mistaken the judgment was for over a million dollars. then there is the reality that the property alone is worth millions of dollars (five to ten million) and is in a prime location. When Richards was open 5 nights a week and having good crowds it was bringing in a lot of revenue. Now it is only open on Thursday nights and does well on Friday nights and is packed on Saturday nights after 11Pm. The dancers don’t show up until 10pm or later (some wait to midnight). Which is why crowds wait so late to go in. A third of the dancers never go on stage and wait for the occasional crazy spender in the back. Many of the dancers bitch about money. They actually don’t do many vip rooms anymore either because the club doubled the “room” fee. So, a vip room that used to cost $140 for 15 minutes has been $185 for the last two years. 30 minutes went from $265 to $320. Cocktail drinks are $12. Cover charge for the club is $20-$25 after 10pm depending on the night and that doesn’t include the cover for the VIP room this is a classic case of entitled straight guys and a straight owner being so greedy they killed the goose
  7. Yep. Jan 15,2022…. Or sooner
  8. Dances have been $20 per song since at least 2005 and probably earlier
  9. Does anyone know where visiting Americans can get a COVID test WHILE IN MONTREAL in order to fulfill the requirement for a negative test prior to returning to the US
  10. It’s a mystery to me why very few guys at Adonis ever make it to Atlanta to work at BJs or Swinging Richards. coolwave’s guy above would be a mega hit here.
  11. I was there recently. I think the cover is $10. There are VIP booths in the back. $10 for a wrist band for VIP. Curtains don’t close all the way. Dances are $20 per song. It is a pretty small club and it is REALLY crowded by 9:30 pm on the weekends
  12. Please share what you learn in terms of requirements. And I would be interested in how you secured an apartment. Feel free to msg me
  13. And there are other places to discuss it. The name of this forum is male strip clubs. I don’t know why you find the discussion of montreal strip clubs in a strip club forum so ‘myopic’
  14. You didn’t answer any of my questions. And maybe you won’t from the original comment. But do you have an idea of how many dancers? 12? 24?
  15. I’m glad you had a good time ‘Watching the stage’ but for me, personally I don’t just go just to watch the stage. Also, I really find the mentality expressed in your post dumbfounding… like this quote… “Unlike previous visits, I did not venture into the VIP lounge. I am still little hesitant for that level of contact at this point” You go into a club where almost no one is wearing a mask, Social distancing is not possible and you literally can’t avoid bumping into people on a Saturday night. BUT the VIP room is a bridge too far….a ‘’level of contact’ you aren’t ready for. Seriously???? I mean, there is a lot of inconsistency here but I’ll just leave that alone. This isn’t just directed just to you but I am sick and tired of the illogical, debilitating behavior displayed by the very people who are posting “trust science” on their Facebook pages. What are you waiting for? I’m assuming you have had the vaccine. Are you unable to comprehend math? I mean, the risk to the fully vaccinated for facing a serious bout with COVID is almost zero! Do you feel superior virtue signaling by wearing your mask and encouraging people to still wear masks? I’m just going to make a wild guess here…you have suffered virtually no financial impact from the pandemic and in fact are doing better than before the pandemic? Tell me if I’m wrong. How long are you going to maintain your irrational fear that is completely devoid of reality and has NO BASIS IN SCIENCE? Till the end of the year? Next year? Next decade? again, not really meant to be directed at you as an attack but your post “triggered me” (been wanting to say that phrase forever). If you’ve been fully vaccinated you should get on with living life. There is no rational basis for hiding in fear.
  16. One other note about Swinging Richards. They have not hired a single new dancer since February 2020. Several hot guys have gone by the club and asked. They were told by the manager we aren’t hiring. Also was told that at 10:30 pm on Friday night they had 10 customers. I’m sure it picked up later. It is a shadow of its former self
  17. I wouldn’t say BJs has better dancers than Richards on a consistent basis. The last few times i went to BJs.... probably 2 months ago, a friend and I lasted less than 30 min. But on Sunday night they had several new guys including a long haired blond athletic to muscular build going by Thor, and a similar built Latin guy from New York going by Liam. I was pleasantly surprised and may visit again in the next few weeks.
  18. A strip club shouldn’t have a $20 cover charge when they aren’t putting dancers on stage.
  19. No… not drunk lawyer. There are actually probably a dozen semi regular big money customers that get a room for an entire night and take multiple dancers with them
  20. A few comments, as someone who has recently travelled to a few cities in Florida (including Fort Lauderdale) and lives in Atlanta. It is very encouraging to see the bars come back to life. First, the crowds are back! I’ve talked to multiple gay bar owners who have said their numbers (crowds and dollars) are higher than pre pandemic levels. every time I walk by Blake’s and Ten they are packed. The Hideaway is packed. The bars in Fort Lauderdale are packed I think this is happening all across the US as people are ready to mingle! Second, Memorial Day weekend is usually a quiet one for Atlanta gay bars because most of the party boys go to the festival in Pensacola.... as they did this year. However, this year it was crazy. I went to Richards on Frisay and it was packed. I went to BJs on Sunday night. It was packed! It really is a stunning turnaround. But unfortunately, Swinging Richards is a shadow of what it used to be. a few observations as to why..... BJs actually has more hot guys. SR had maybe 18 dancers Friday night. 6 of which stayed in the VIP room all night and refused to go on stage even when they are not doing a VIP room. As a consequence they have a packed house and one to two dancers on stage for 3 straight songs…. And the quality of guys has definitely dropped. If you are a bar, you should make it easy for your customers to buy a drink. Management at SR doesn’t grasp this concept. They only had 3 bartenders to serve drinks. No waiters and no busboys. Typically took 20+ minutes to get a drink. Add to all of that, no new talent. All of the guys that are there started dancing a minimum of two years ago. Some have been there for over a decade and the “veterans” have unbelievably bad attitudes. on thursday night a rich surgeon was visiting from out of town and he took 9 guys into a VIP room for over 4 hours. His total bill was over $20k. Good for them. But because they have so few dancers working were no dancers on stage. Yep, for the 100 or so folks that paid a $20 cover charge... they were able to “look at the stage” and buy overpriced drinks. it really is a shame. They had such a good run for such a long time. They have something you can find in very few places in the US (male nudity and alcohol). seriously hoping for Johnson’s Atlanta
  21. very few of the dancers in Montreal will do gay porn beyond a solo. Maybe 1 in 50. Maybe 1 in 100. Most do seem to be discreet. I never asked a dancer for a private, always waited on them to ask me. Several years ago I left with a very sexy guy (dancer a) and one of the other dancers saw me leave. (dancer b) I always did dances with dancer b. The very next night after sharing a few drinks we went to the back for dances.. before they started this dancer wanted to know why I had never asked him for a private. I told him I never ask dancers for private shows. I only went with guys that asked me. Which led to the.... ok, I’m asking u now”. I said ok and quoted a price.. which led to the “what will we do?”question and an ask for more $$$. We came to an agreement which was my original price. Had a really good time later than evening at my hotel
  22. That policy hasn’t changed
  23. The border between the US and Canada is still closed. So exactly how are dancers from Montreal able to go to Fort Lauderdale to dance at Johnson’s? https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=1367118386738644/posts/3611710985612695
  24. It’s open for now.
  25. For chidude https://www.companyofmen.org/threads/please-help-me-decide-swinging-richards-or-boxers-n-briefs.159225/post-1974450
