Thanks for the article. I think the biggest problem for gay men as they age is loneliness. I exercise, keep my weight down (though I've found food is one of life's pleasures), stay out of the sun (not easy when you live in Arizona) but I also hod onto as many friends as I can.

I wouldn't. There's a difference between a no-show and a provider letting you know he can't make it after all. In this instance, take him at his word. -
Now I've heard everything. But really, I don't haggle either. If the rate is too high, I just move on.

As a client, I'll just echo what MichBoyBlake said, you need to put one or two face pics up. If I don't see a face pic, or it's fuzzed out, I move on. As for rates, I expect to pay more in big coastal cities than cities in the middle of the country but there are exceptions to every rule. So welcome to the business!

I stayed at The Linq last year. The rooms were small but modern and comfortable. I thought the location was good.

I always considered Craigslist and Backpage sleazy, low-end providers, so I never used them. Backpage has been known for its shady escort ads for years now and Craigslist time has come and gone too (remember that kid who was in med school who picked-up and murdered girls he met on Craigslist?). But I am concerned that legit providers like RM, Mintboys, etc, could be next.

Years ago there was a website called Baseball Butts, or something like that. It focused on, you guessed it, player's uniforms! For some reason, I'm oddly excited about MLB this year. Probably because I'm seeing the Marlins later this year (first MLB game I've been to in, like, 10 years).

I always wonder, are guys who are truly handsome, know it? Or do they look in the mirror and see someone who is too thin, or muscle bound, or not very bright? I work with a young guy who is quite handsome. Sometimes I want to ask him, do you know how good looking you are? Because I don't think he sees it.

I want to hire a guy who lives in the suburbs of a big city I'm visiting, but if he asks that I pay extra for his uber or parking, should I? I know some of you will say that if I want to see him bad enough, I should. But while he's my first choice, I wonder if commuting time/fees is part of his cost of business, or mine? Any insight is appreciated.

I met Ricky a couple years ago when we were both in San Francisco at the same time. Nice guy, amazing ass. Wish I could have spent more time with him. But a one word answer to a text is off-putting. XxxDKnightsxxX gets a thumbs up from me.
