I can attest to that. Met this hot guy about 18 months ago had a "set the bed on fire" session. Only warning is he was about 90 minutes late for our appt, which was annoying.

This young man is a Boston native, must be visiting SF. Have met, and would recommend. He has a bit of a sardonic sense of humor, in case any of your communication seems "off" but a fun, nice kid in person.

It's a question I don't have an answer to yet. I think we're a long away from a "no risk" scenario. So, it depends then how the science unfolds. Would you connect with someone tested negative a day ago? a week ago? a month ago? Do a point-of-care test "on the spot"? We're a long way away from having that kind of testing available to us. Stay tuned.....

@purplekow I am reading this thread for the first time, it is heart-wrenching and I can guess also therapeutic for you to have an outlet for your emotions. I too work in hospitals, in administration though so I am not personally facing the front-line challenges you are. Many of my colleagues are. One of our hospitals has a COVID unit with over 100 beds. We have 2 kinds of patients: (1) patients who are recovering and its' our job to help them recover and (2) patients who aren't going to recover, and we need to free up the bed "upstream". We already know the rest of the story for those patients (and the nurses and doctors caring for them). My hospital system has been planning for this eventuality for years, including having a stockpile of PPE and more ventilators than most. So, at least staff are as safe as they can be. Still, it's terrifying to think about going into that unit. And what so many hospitals and healthcare workers are doing with less. My heart aches for what my colleagues are facing on the front line. I try my best every day to make their lives easier in some way. Thanks for what you are doing every day. As soon as it is possible, take a day.....hopefully your Chief is already thinking about that. The trick here is to not wait until you are critical to go to the hospital. Hospitals are going to be in chaos and showing up needing immediate/urgent attention is not a good plan. Even so, probably best not to take a taxi or Uber, an ambulance or medical car (call your PCP and insurance company first).

I had a realization this week, that is how freely people are proclaiming they are "positive" for coronavirus. There is no stigma, no shame....because it is not a gay, sexually transmitted disease. Everyone is an "innocent victim". And the government and research community are throwing everything they have at this new virus. Contrast this with Freddy Mercury, Rock Hudson and thousands of others who kept their infection a secret until the end rather than face the shame and judgement imposed by society. And the failure of our government to respond in a meaningful way because, after all, we were all expendable.
