  1. I was seeing a guy for a few months and up until I ended it, I was kissing him a lot and even swallowed his cum. One day I told him I was going to do my routine STD checkup. He said I wanted to tell you something, I have herpes, I got many years ago from a straight guy I fooled around with. He said he was getting treatment for it and its unlikely I would catch it. At that moment, I didn't really know what to think. Because, up to that point, I actually thought I already got herpes years before from an encounter kissing a crack head that I remember had a cold sore.

I remember the week after that encounter in 2014, I developed a cold sore. About a week after that encounter, there was a sore on my bottom lip. The person I was staying with at the time kept insisting its not, its just a canker sore. Something happened during that time that led to me getting on PEP for my protection. While getting checked out, the doctor who was getting my blood tested took a look at the store and said yes, that's likely herpes.

Fast forward five years later when I did a follow up STD checkup and brought it up with my physician; she said a lot of people have it here anyway, so its probably you would have been exposed long ago. She said I could get tested for it, but its expensive and just not worth it anyway and unless you are stressed, it won't aggravate it.

A year later, I had to do an important medical which includes a test for Herpes, so, this would have been a good opportunity to find out if after 5 years I had it or not. The doctor went through all the tests they performed and we finally came to Herpes and it came out negative. Taking into consideration my sexual history, I was kinda surprised. Of course, I have had a few encounters since, so I really don't know.

I don't really get the fuss about herpes. If you are a sexually active adult, just assume you already have it. A whopping 75 to 90% of those who carry the virus do not even show symptoms but can still pass it on. And those in the minority who does show symptoms, overtime it'll happen less and less.

  2. While it is clear that most cervical, penile and throat cancers are caused by HPV,it is also true that almost everyone already has HPV,and most people clear the infection and never become seriously ill, most people with HPV do not get cancer from it,some experts think a weakened immune system or an underlying health problem can cause HPV to develop into cancer, some think its a mystery why some people get cancer from HPV while most people do not,but again most people clear HPV on their own and don't get cancer from it,and almost everyone has hpv

This is so true. I asked my doctor if i should get HPV vaccine (Im already 29 and got a wart on one of my fingers) And my doctor just said "Eh, unless you are immunocompromised, or lead a very unhealthy lifestyle, if you catch the virus, your body will just clear it"

Still debating though if i should shell out 400 something dollars to get the vaccine cause i am so paranoid of getting anal or genital warts. Looking at online photos horrifies me.
