I also watched the 3rd season's first episode last week (second episode will be tonight). I have always thoroughly enjoyed the series. I believe these are the final episodes of the series. This is probably for the best because there are few series that seem to be able to retain the steam after that. There have been a few (Weeds, VEEP, Curb Your Enthusiasm) but not many. I have to admit however that Somebody Somewhere was able to artfully sow the bumps in its script together very artfully.

If we are looking at physicality I know that I choose a certain type (I would imagine many people know who my type is (🤭). However I know also that everybody has their own choices they can make. Also, once I get past the physicality I always have to approach a personality that has to minimally seem to both make me want to approach that person and seem if I like them on that level. I try not to judge either myself or that approached person in any way by the outcome.
