I don't think that is fair, I think all the things I have said are supported by their own statements and the website as it is. If I were to go beyond that, it would undermine the credibility of my argument. This thread is definitely going to be the #1 off-site hit.

To address someone in the forum, you have to either quote them, as you have done in some replies, or call them using their handle, like this @Boomxyz , so it was not possible to know that specific post was for Golem, since it did neither.

Personally, I'm fascinated by the word choices medical professionals make in the best interests of the general public. Someone once told me that the masks people wear are not effective because they stop people from inhaling virus particles, but because they stop people from putting their fingers in their own mouth and nose. Regarding hydration, my understanding is the issue is not that people actually need more water when it's cold, the issue is that people unconsciously consume less water in the cold, because they don't have an experience of perspiring as much. But what they are not taking into account is they are likely losing more water though exhalation due to the reduced humidity of the air they are breathing. So they drink less and get dehydrated. To make sure I don't inadvertently get dehydrated, I set out a fixed amount of water to drink each day (4 liters, almost exactly 1 gallon, 128 ounces). One has to be careful not to drink too much too fast, not more than .5 liter per hour should be the top end, to avoid possible water intoxication. I pace it out to .5 liter per 2 hours. And don't get me started on how insane general American attitudes toward sleep are. It's said if you have to routinely use an alarm to wake up in time and that alarm is always at the same time, you are sleep deprived.

I've been trolled by more than one person on this board. The only sane option with a true troll is letting them have the last word because they are incapable of walking away. One of my favorite films is Gilliam Armstrong's second feature film, Starstruck. wikipedia.org: Starstruck (1982 film) I had a well worn VHS tape but it was finally released on DVD in 2005, so that was great. The soundtrack is a wonderful snapshot of a moment in the music scene in Australia. Sadly, as the producer explained on the DVD commentary, the rights to the soundtrack were sold off and he has no idea who owns it, so it's never been released on CD. I've been hanging on to a couple of vinyl records. So I just found out the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia has restored the film. I am hoping hoping hoping this will lead to an HD release somewhere, Blu Ray, iTunes, whatever, and the soundtrack as well. nfsa.gov.au: NSFA Restores Starstruck I guess it's not helpful to post about a film that can't easily be seen, but I'm just so excited. That's all fine as long as they are willing to live with the consequences, of which a few harsh words on an internet forum should be trivial. Instead, for most of the thread there has been a lot of deflecting (other people do it!), externalization (look what you made me do!), and other rhetorical and logical fallacies. They could have reset the website and started over. Since it's "free", no one could complain if it went away for a while. I'm pretty sure they don't have free web hosting, so this could have even reduced operational costs. They are beyond defensive, they are trying to absolve themselves of any responsibility for their actions. This thread could have stopped pages ago if they weren't so stubborn about defending bad practices.

Oh, well, I should have been more clear, I am not questioning their honesty. If there was ever a question, it has been answered. They have admitted they are dishonest.

Then they have to live with that language until they change it. But what we are getting instead is an astounding amount of energy put into externalizing and deflecting. Since leaving the language as is is clearly self-serving, this comes across as trying to have it both ways. It shouldn't surprise anyone who has spent any time on this forum that someone would point this out eventually.

In this thread, people from the site admit to not immediately deleting a profile after the subject of the profile contacted them. This is just plain wrong Given how much consent is critical, this strategy is just wrong, the guys have never even been given an opportunity to grant their consent to the implied endorsement having a profile on the site carries with it. Let me also say, Whataboutism is a bad response, you shouldn't trust anyone who deploys it.

My understanding is the best time to get the shot is between Halloween and Thanksgiving. Early enough to fully develop antibodies before peak flu season but not so early it stats to wear off too soon.
