I don't see the upside of telling him you want something more sexual. If he's not comfortable with it, your professional relationship is probably damaged beyond repair. If he is comfortable with it, based on what you've said, it will probably happen at some point outside of the confines of a chiropractor's office.

I wouldn't say anything, but I would keep seeing him. If you've been getting massages from him for years, he must be doing something right. If he is comfortable with things going to another level with you, your reactions to "accidental grazing and such" are more likely to get you there than asking for it.

No. When I saw him, masseurfinder had a section for erotic ads, and that's where his was. Now that ads and reviews have to refrain from even suggesting that a massage will be anything more than therapeutic massage, masseurs have to be a bit more discreet.

Yeah, I met him via an A4A ad. It seems to me that now is more therapeutic. He is no longer listed in A4A and in MF only listed under the HEAL section.

I've had so many memorable ones, for good and bad reasons, that I needed to think about this for a few days before I responded. I want to thank all of the contributors to this thread. I now realize that what I had considered my "bad" massage experiences (a HE that hurt, a "therapist" who didn't know what he was doing, etc.) were not that bad at all!

I'm generally too shy to ask about the masseur's "boundaries" upfront. What words do you use for that purpose? I am afraid of offending or sounding indelicate.

If a nude masseur is important to you, you might consider trying one thing that I used to do. In a pre-massage email after the initial contact, I would say something like "I understand if you are more comfortable discussing this after we meet, but I prefer mutual nudity during massages," and then explain that it was because I liked body-to-body contact and not because I was looking for a sexual experience. You can generally figure out from his response what his attitude about nudity might be. If he says "We can discuss it after we meet" or "It depends on the client," he's probably comfortable with the idea. That doesn't necessarily mean that he will be nude throughout, but he will probably get naked at some point if he feels comfortable with you. Some replied by saying that they don't work nude, and others ignored the question. Even a few of those ended up getting nude at some point during the massage, and I found that those experiences were among the most exciting ones I had. I stopped asking that question a couple of years ago because I found the surprise more exciting than going into the massage expecting it.
