  1. Yes, and when its served its time, It will be recycled also.

Yes, the computer likely will be recycled and/or properly disposed. But, for the record, the plastic bottle will almost certainly not. Unlike aluminum or glass or cardboard, there is close to zero demand for such low grade post consumer plastic waste. It costs far more to transform it than to just buy it new so the recycling just doesn't happen on a broad scale. The recycling con is a marketing strategy by the bottled water companies to make their product more accepted and to undermine needed regulation. But, like most marketing, it's absolutely false.

At best the bottle going into a landfill for 400 years. At worst it's going into the sea to create huge ecological problems. And that's after you have willingly consumed petroleum byproducts through micro plastics in your plastic bottle! (100% of water tested from plastic bottles contains...micro plastics...duh).

  2. 1. Rates are enticingly low for the described services. 2. The described services probably wouldn't be publicly described by a real business. 3. Unless I totally missed something the site makes no mention of service location. 4. They want an upfront credit card payment.

This is either a total scam or they are trying really hard to make it seem like one.

  3. Why would you bother to do this? There are plenty of masseurs in NYC and most have their own space. Or they can come to you.

This seems weird. I assume you ask because he wants you to pay upfront for the room cost. If so:

a.) Worst case scenario: You send money and never hear from this person again.

b.) Best case scenario: You spend extra cash that you wouldn't need to spend with 99% of the other guys.

BIG red flag. Never heard this suggestion before, ever.

    "SPEELING ERROR".

I suppose you are trying to be funny. :)

Anyway, that this thread exists indicates we all have way too much time on our hands!

    Help.

  5. I contacted him the last time he was in NYC and after a very long delay finally replied asking for 1. a photo (No!), 2. a paragraph outlining what attracted me to his ad (No!) and he suggested we meet for the appointment in a park (Huh!?).

Sometimes it just isn't worth it.

  6. Recenly I reached out to someone who was visiting my city.

We exchanged some texts about the massage, what to expect etc.

    NO appointments were scheduled!!

I left it as I will let you know if I'm able to book. He was leaving the next day (sat) at 4am

That Friday was my Bday. Unknown to me some neighbors invited me over about 5ish to do some socially distant celebrating (with adult beverages).

Needless to say I never got back to him. But again NO appointments or expectations were set.

I sent a polite text message apologizing explaining what happened. I also stated that if he is ever back this way to let me know:

"Hey man.. I want to apologize for not getting back to you. It was my bday that weekend. Some neighbors ended up coming over to celebrate with some drinks. Then you said you were leaving at 4am... So sorry I missed you.. Please let me know when you are back in atlanta.. Thanks and have a great day"

    His response:

"You are strange, I will not write to you and you do not write to me"

I thought I was being nice and apologizing for not being able to meet (despite not committing to an appt). I don't think I owed him anything but was trying to be nice

From this post I gather you probably write too much. You may share too much superfluous information and ask a lot of questions.

People who are not your family or friends just want the immediate and relevant information to the situation at hand. A few long texts about this, that and the other can annoy. Maybe it's a southern thing? But if this person is not from the south that level of verbosity can come across as particularly odd.

I'm told that massage therapists deal with a lot of folks who get off just texting them about "what will happen". These potential 'clients' have absolutely no intention of making appointments. The discussion itself is their fetish. I'm sure that is tiresome and it accounts for those who cut off communications at a certain point.

Anyway, short and to the point generally leads to successful relationships. More than two texts of a couple sentences is probably going sideways.

  7. Clearly there is something happening between these two (Mike530 and the subject masseur) that doesn't meet the eye here in this forum. People don't usually go off the rails as we just witnessed unless there is an intense emotional reason. Jealous boyfriend? Jealous want to be boyfriend? Stalker? Jilted lover?

Any number of entertaining possibilities, but alas it's probably best to move on....

  8. Not sure how to say this. If you’ve been with Junior since last month. Get tested! I was with him and he used no protection and gave me a gift.

    And did you use protection...?

Tested for what? Just ask someone for a "test"?

Strange public comment for a first time user without any particular useful information.
