Once again, the perpetrator plays the victim card.
Someone needs to tell this porn star wannabe that It was his own extreme unprofessional behavior that got his butt fired. And not because he was gay. If A straight man did the same thing he would have gotten fired as well.
In what alternate reality is it okay to film porn in the workplace? Especially when the workplace is an office of government. Being gay does not give one license to do what no straight person would ever get away with.
Who was holding the camera in the Senate office filming his butt? He must also be a Senate staffer to have gained access.
If Mr. 3-names got fired, the other person should be identified, and if he also works for the government, needs to be exposed, and fired as well.

Yes. Exposing someone with the intent to hurt them is wrong, and should be prosecuted.
But Adame should have had the common sense to NOT put himself in the position to have such risky material available to the public in the first place.  This lesson will cost him a career that he was blessed to have and he blew it.

Exactly!  His sexuality is irrelevant.  He exhibited (pun intended) poor judgment and unprofessionalism. We’d be calling him a misogynist if he was straight and sexually fantasizing about his female boss, but because he’s gay he’s supposed to get a pass?  

He deserves all the failure he will get.

Eh, at first I was all for this being an injustice that he lost his job, then I read that in some of the videos he discussed his employer and wanting his boss to fuck him on camera.  He's got problems. This is more than just revenge porn. 

To what end?

The "truth" is that he knew as a public figure his "100% consensual" activity on an adult site is not compatible with being a representative of a daily news outlet.
Times have changed and his status as an openly gay man did not prevent him from being employed. But he was deliberately pushing the envelope and he lost. Consent has nothing to do with the decision to replace him.

I've been a very sexual person my entire adult life. But I also know to keep my ass off camera if I don't want my clients, parents and/ or kids getting a peek at my private sex life. This guy's got some emotional problems if he is somehow confused about being fired. He had the privilege of being given a opportunity as an openly gay man and he wasted it by pushing the envelope of how much a public figure can get away with. He crossed the line and is now crying racism to get away from his poor judgement.

I saw a video of him from the webcam. He was at home wearing an eye mask and waiting for strangers to come into his apartment, on all fours on his couch. Nice body, but not too well endowed. 
I work in the corporate world, and it’s just not a good idea to mention on social media or elsewhere, your employer. That’s the reason for losing his job. Graphic sexual content is a no-no, and I’m no prude, but it was a lapse of good judgment in his case. 

This. He did something for which his boss arguably has a cause of action against him. It's more than just him being naked on camera. It's involving other people.

If a man were posting videos to a channel talking about how he wanted to fuck his female coworker, nobody would be defending this guy and she'd have a cause of action against him for creating a hostile work environment.  It was NOT a private message. It was something he broadcast in a manner that strangers could find. Again, sorry someone sent it to his mother(assuming that part is even true) but this guy needs help.

Works for me. Let's coordinate with Orin and Cooper, etc. That way there is a consensus. In a day or so when things settle down, I'll be able to pull together a list of estimated costs anticipated with running the site. This includes keeping the Xenforo license updated, hosting, DNS, extra security stuff (since I do cyber security for a living), etc.

If you want to handle the technical stuff for the forum, I’ll pay the bills. What do you say?

I am willing to help maintain the server and keep the site online. Right now this site is running on my personal server. Long term it will be important to move it into its own island separate from my personal situation as I refuse to have the same thing that happened to this site twice previously occur again if something were to happen to me. I've spoken with Orin about this and have outlined some ideas around how to document what is needed for someone to take on "survivorship". This will include documenting all critical service logins (such as for the Xenforo software, for the domain hosting, for the domain DNS, etc)... how to access it, etc. It will also include having the site being self-contained where it's separate from the administrator personally. This role can also be shared with any other sysadmin who is comfortable with linux system administration and web services (apache, mysql, php, etc.)
 
What I do *not* want is to have any direct control over any sort of money. In the interest of this being a community, it would not be good for me to have control over everything. Whomever is going to be in charge of the money can make payments on behalf of the site, etc. I personally see it as a checks/balances thing. I'm NOT Daddy/Hooboy and I would never try to impose myself as such. Instead my goal is to simply do my part as a member of the community to ensure the site survives.

As others have said, the actual procedure is no big deal. (I took the subway home.) They found some polyps, so I get to do it again this year. Oh, joy.
 
The preperation was awful. I didn't mind the no solid food the day before -- apple sauce, lemon jello, and some Ensure, etc, etc., but the liquid that your supposed to drink (even with the addition of the "cherry" flavor packet was awful. It took forever to get the taste out of my mouth. I drank massive amounts of ginger ale (which was allowed according to the instructions) and vented to a friend about how bad the taste was in between trips to the bathroom.
 
I know 7 people who had colon cancer. Three of them died. One of them was only 38. It spread to his liver before they found it. Another friend was just diagnosed, she's only 43. Unless you have a family history (I have a friend who has to get a colonoscopy every year because her father died at 55 from colon cancer), or unless you have some sort of symptoms, insurance won't pay for a colonoscopy until you reach a certain age. It's a very expensive procedure. The gastrointerologist billed my insurance company over $2,000 (my co-pay was $40) and that doesn't include the $2,000 bill from the anesthesiologist. (Again, my co-pay was $40.) I also had a $25 co-pay for the vile substance that I had to drink. Given what my friends (and their families) are going through (or went through) paying $105 in co-pays, drinking a vile liquid, and living in the bathroom for a couple of hours is a small price to pay.
 
Everyone who is over certain age (check with your insurance company first -- mine won't pay until your reach 50) should get colonoscopy. As unpleasant as it is, it can safe you life.
