I rated the massage. I was not seeking a full experience. No complaints from me. B- is a good rating.

Real Talk on massage rates - let me know your thoughts
TantricMD replied to Hey_Jay's topic in Questions About Hiring
Who is paying 250 to 300 for a first time meeting with an unknown masseur that has no experience, reviews, just a few hot photos, and minimal descriptions? And they aren't even willing to answer some basic qualifying questions before asking you to "take it or leave it" as is. Who is falling for this new baseline "you need me more than I need you" marketing? Don't we have leverage (we make the dollars so it should make sense) to push back until we receive more reputable treatment as a standard? I can see paying a premium once becoming a regular client to gain some credibility on a more reliable relationship for better availability. But this new norm of post-COVID 100% inflation/masseur tarriff is just ridiculous. Can we as clients bring that demand down to a more reasonable level? Send a message that if you cannot provide answers to basic introductory questions, be friendly, possess actual massage skills, and be reasonably priced then we will not book you. I know most of these guys are hot, and once they attach to your smaller heads brain it's like a nuclear missile locked on target. Is rolling the dice on such high stakes worth becoming the new normal? Some of these guys treat sessions like an annoying stranger chasing them around a bar asking to buy them a drink, and completely evade providing something that even resembles a relaxing and sensual experience. Most of us have very full, happy, and rewarding lives that include splurging on physical pleasures when we want to. We are not desperate. There is a reason we have different apps for massage and full service providers. We have been bad stewards of these separate spaces and muddied the waters by demanding more for less and creating a fully integrated market between both. If you are looking for full services from masseur apps you are cheating the rest of us by hyperinflating the cost of great massages. Stop looking for Tiffany diamonds in WalMart and be willing to pay for what you really want. I know and still frequent amazing providers in NYC, LA, Miami, Texas, Atlanta, Philly, DC, and Chicago who give more than a reasonable experience and have healthy numbers of clients, who have stayed in the 150-200 range for years. This new era of mostly traveling providers is cementing the definition of a quick cash grab w/o real talent, or care for repeat calls. I know that game has been around for ages however the scales seem to be tipping more in the direction of expectation instead of occasional occurrences. There are still amazing masseurs spanning from therapeutic to sensual at fairly reasonable prices. Let's take care of them. We have allowed the art of massage and eroticism to be turned into an expensive lap dance that continues to leave us only wanting, not raving. Keep that trick in its proper back room, and leave those of us satisfied by massage and sensual touch to our mid level tier of affordable pleasures. Are the rich truly removing everything from the middle class....even a good ole fashioned well navigated rub and tug? When did the nuance and playful negotiation of massage w/extras go in favor of transactional day trades in "pay4 just for showing up"? I blame the apps! 🤣 -
Meet and was not disappointed. He seems to use the MF ad sparingly as this is a very part time gig for him. Massage was solid, medium pressure, relaxing, and mostly therapeutic. Clothes stay on, until the turnover where he removes his shirt. It's worth it. He is beautiful. Gives very straight go-go dancer vibe (you can look and even touch chest and arms, but nothing more). I didn't push my luck. A very good tease. He is a sight to behold. Chiseled and very attractive. Someone you would watch and fantasize about in the gym. So if you can go for a therapeutic w/o extras with the chance to admire a beautiful man, catch him while you can. Ad was active for me on a Monday, which he confirmed he is only available a couple days each week. Very reasonably priced. B-

Unfortunately Ben https://www.masseurfinder.com/massage-therapists/49985/ screens and discriminates. I learned this while trying to book when he asked my age and ethnicity. After I disclosed he ghosted me. Sadly he won't make it far in this community with those practices and I can only assume he is not a serious player here. Luckily for me there are plenty of pros to choose from who no doubt out perform him and his biases.

He flaked on me this week in DC. Sent me to his hotel and when I text that I had arrived.....nothing. He then text me 30min later stating that he had issues checking in and had to change his hotel. I had already left. I asked why he couldnt inform me at least an hour prior to my appt. His response : "I was trying to work out the hotel". I understand things can hit a snag however if you are eager to take the appt, be just as eager to communicate if you know you won't be able to follow through. Wasted my time. I found his story hard to believe given that his phone was working well enough to text me 30min later. I booked another masseur last minute elsewhere (1st time meeting him) and had an amazing experience. I was happy to have been overlooked by Gorgeousxxx. Don't waste you time.

Solid D-. I was hopeful given the profile. Everything from setting up the session, never getting the exact address (literally used objects and landmarks to direct me to the front door), having to wait 15min in my car, after our start time, while he got ready. Then to find the environment didn't look like much preparation or thought was given to create a relaxing space. Pics are outdated, and his skill is nonexistent. Splashing oil and rubbing it around with no real direction or sense of muscle manipulation. Not sexy. Cut my session short, paid half. Waste of time and money.

Ante is fun but there is practically.no massage. And, it is him however, his pics are so outdated that they will make you question "Is this him?" Overall good time as he is eager to play but there were times I wondered if I was turning him on more than vice versa due to his lazer focus on both of us completing the mission.. Time ran about 20min short. Will repeat for deli only.

I asked for a video confirmation and then crickets. That seems to cut through the confusion of who's who and what's what right away.

@DCHereI'm glad your experience was better than mine. The person in the profile photos did not show up to my appt.
-
I am genuinely confused due to the amount of positive reviews on this provider. rentmasseur: https://rentmasseur.com/Cortiz I scheduled and arrived and the person who met me was not the person in the photos. He had a similar face, but was definitely not in any shape like the photos suggest. When I brought the profile photos up on my phone and asked point blank "Is this you?" He replied "No that is my roommate." I immediately left. I don't know how he could be receiving these great reviews unless my experience was the one time he opted to substitute with a less hot look alike??? Rating this one : F

Had a disappointing text exchange with him recently. He was reluctant to provide a location and then provided a nearby business (a museum) that wasn't his working address. Given the lack of photo and the "nearby" address, I inquired, letting him know that this was not the usual process when reaching out to an ad for massage. He replied that it was for his safety. When I replied that coming out to a false address and waiting for him to either give me another more accurate address or to be robbed was equally unsafe, he said I was being dramatic and promptly dismissed the appt. The whole exchange was a less than comfortable setup for a session claiming to provide professionalism and comfort. Hard pass.
