I’d agree that anyone asking for more from you is likely a troll. I’m curious Kurtis, what you recommend to us clients who come across profiles that are questionable for legitimate reasons, and want some extra verification before we schedule a meet.

First, reverse image search them. Reversee is a great app you can use on your phone to do it. Second, google their phone number. See if it’s been associated with other ads with different pictures. Third, ask for a quick clothed FaceTime or Skype to prove identity. Say “clothed” so they don’t think you’re trolling them to get to see them naked for free. Kurt’s reply wasn’t great, but for all we complain about escorts being flakey or liars... I can only imagine how bad the clients are.

Great to hear. I will say that I look at local ads a lot in LA and if the pics never change I start to wonder how old they really are. Maybe you don’t need to do a full photo shoot all the time, but once a month post a quick updated selfie just to make people feel comfortable you’re not using very outdated pics.

“Before we meet I need to tell you, the pics aren’t me. They are representative, and my stats are real. I hope you understand. I’m cool meeting you in a lobby or something first if you want.” That’s what should happen. Instead we as clients get put into these awkward positions where we’re expected to know how to graciously respond to someone who is actively gaslighting us... because we’ve already identified them as a liar and so we’re concerned about our safety and privacy and unsure how to respond.

I’ve asked if someone told me they were unavailable while I was visiting, or if they indicated we weren’t a match. Under both those circumstances I think it’s a reasonable ask.

Sorry if I’m confusing. Here’s what happened. 1. Few years ago I was messaging with Rasmus and he sent some obviously fake pics so I backed away. 2. Friday I was looking at profiles and saw a guy in OC (Jake) and unlocked his gallery but didn’t message him. He had public and private pics at the time. They didn’t seem completely legit so I moved on. 3. Saturday I received the above message from Jake and his pics were gone and his profile was listed as Not Available.

There were 12 hours ago. I never messaged him but I unlocked his gallery. He messaged me later saying, Hey man - taking a break. Hit up my buddy. Worked with him and he's pretty awesome with men. /KarstenRasmus/reviews

He’s now created a total different profile that messages you and says that they’re not available and you should try Karsten, lol. He sent me obvious fake pics a while back too.
