Am I reading the most recent review on rentmasseur correctly, $1,100 for two hours?! WTF?!

So you just get the HE and left, or did everything stop right there? I hate these awkward situations. He is in Tampa now. PS BTW, texting with this guy is torture. You ask something, he answers hours later. You immediately try to schedule, he gets back to you hours later saying he can't make it. You immediately ask him what time would work for him, no response hours later. All this while his status on rentmasseur says "available." I am so done with this. He is wasting HIS and my time because he is not getting my business after all this.

Indeed, this is insane.

I had a good experience when he came down to FL last year. He is back, but I am not crazy about the rates. I am not ready to go above $180 per hour and $260 for 90 minutes no matter how hot or good the masseur is, and I'd like to keep it at $160 & $240 respectively. No upsales, nudity & mutual touch included.

One has to feel sorry for the masseurs based in HK but have no connection to the gang. I wonder whether some of the bad actors (including organizers?) used to be in the "Murray Hill Gang" 😉 I remember there used to be a whole bunch of Eastern European masseurs who had a handler with which you texted to set up your appointment. The handler would sound really good and promise all kinds of things, but then a masseur who didn't speak English would show up completely unaware (or pretending to be) of what had been promised. Once I had a masseur with no resemblance to the guy that was in the ad show up at my hotel. Awkward. And spooky.

Whenever a masseur's profile pix suggest that he thinks of himself as a model, avoid. Chances are they hate what they do but keep doing it because the money is good and in hopes that their "real career" will take off. Alas, there are many hot guys out there and very few modeling jobs, and their unhappiness about it makes the experience even worse.

I think that is more likely to be the case with old profiles about which nothing bad is posted here. This one is new and there is no record, which calls for extra caution IMHO.

Red flag.

I'd go with an ad on Masseurfinder with pictures of your clean & professional working space, pictures of you that don't leave any doubt about the type of massage, very clear TEXT stating that you are a LICENSED masseur offering high quality professional THERAPEUTIC massage only, and PRICING APPROPRIATE for this type of massage (if you list $150 or higher, that sends a wrong signal). I would NOT post an ad on rentmasseur even if only the therapeutic box is checked because just being there generates doubts. Cheers and good luck!
