  1. The "ask" is the worst when they expect you to text them and are unwilling to answer messages on rentmasseur. I do masseur searches on my computer and don't find it taxing to send a note to someone asking how much they charge for different types of massage for 60 and 90 minutes and where about they are located. If I get a sensible answer to all my questions, I'll take it further. It amazes me how many will answer just one of your questions and consider it done, so I give up on those too.
  2. Please, tell us more! I sense there is a story here 😉
  3. ATMs in the US dispense $20 bills, is the £20 note as dominant over there? I seldom have anything other than a bunch of $20 and a couple of $1 bills in my wallet, seriously. $5 and $10 do exist and are used but they are not that frequent, I seldom have them. When you try to use $50 or $100 here, people look at you strange, they are so rare. For massage I do prefer to use cash, and I suspect many masseurs like that as well.
  4. You just made me think of another rule I forgot to mention 🙂 . I think that pricing that ends with a $5 increment is obnoxious and I hold it against the provider. Realistically, $185 almost always turns into $200 because the chance of me having $5 is close to zero, and asking for change is just awkward. In fact, I see $185 and $265 as more dishonest than $195 and $275, so I'd be even less likely to book.
  5. I agree 100% percent, and I like to consider an additional factor. If the price suggests that the provider is an aggressive extractor of money, they'd have to go WAY over what is usually provided to get any tip. In fact, I refuse to give business to those who are already at $200 for an hour, and I am not sure about $180 either, I might go for it if the masseur is hot and has good comments here. Those who are still in the $140-$150 range usually get $20-$40 if the experience is OK. I don't go to spas so I can't speak to that, I prefer to give business to individual masseurs who are then business owners and are not entitled to tips by default.
  6. If their English is good maybe you can try saying "Please don't beat me up!" If they don't understand, maybe use a translator and print this on a piece of paper? 🙂 🙂 🙂
  7. Some are clearly eager to push the limits. I usually go for 90 minutes and my maximum rate has traditionally been $240 for that, even though $200-$220 is still more frequent. I just did a quick sampling of the listings for DC on rentmasseur, and I'd simply boycott anyone trying to charge $300, there are still much more reasonable alternatives. It is their right to try to extract more, but it's also the client's right to look elsewhere. I get a sense that many of the guys pushing aggressive pricing think of themselves as models, which is a turnoff for me anyway, so I am sticking with my limit 🙂
  8. Hi, do we have any info on this hot masseur? He was in Orlando, and has just switched to Tampa. The ad is recent but I fear it's a new name because the pix seem vaguely familiar. Thanks! https://rentmasseur.com/Reimerlatino
  9. Man, is he hot! Is he Russian? He reminds me of another athletic dude who happens to be Russian but who is disappointing in the sensual and MT part. This one could be a winner, I'll be sure to try next time I am in NYC, thanks to all who have contributed above!
  10. All these threads inevitably turn into general discussions of the masseurs that are referenced. When I start a thread, I simply cannot expect everyone to stick to my original question. If someone has something to say that doesn't answer my question directly, what are they supposed to do, start a new thread? That would be hugely sub-optimal because when I do a search on a masseur, I LIKE to find a single thread where all kinds of views are presented. If things I don't care for are included, so be it. Those are easy to skip, but sometimes even unrelated stuff can be fun to read. I suspect this is the preference of most others here.
  11. I commented about his pricing on another thread, it looks like he's had problems making it consistent and sensible with respect to his rates for 60 vs 90 minutes. He has finally cracked it but at a level that's too high in my book. My upper limit is $160 for one hour of naked massage with mutual touching and $240 for 90 minutes. I could afford more but this is a matter of principle. I might go for $180/$260 if someone is insanely hot, but that's about it.
  12. I think I vaguely remember this profile, but it was probably under another (version of the) name. He just resurfaced in Tampa, so let's compare notes and experiences 😉 I do know, though, that name changes are usually a red flag 😞 https://rentmasseur.com/Vitalie
  13. Now a new number on masseurfinder. Avoid. https://www.masseurfinder.com/massage-therapists/44093/
  14. Money is good. Plus many straight guys are convinced that they are gay men's ultimate dream, so they rationalize it. There could be for some but, like others have said, it's a total turnoff for me when I sense that the masseur is doing something they are uncomfortable with.
  15. So what could be the point of paying money to rentmasseur for the ad? I find this really puzzling, it feels like a scam, but I am not sure how it works. In any case, NEVER agree to pay a deposit no matter how small it is.
  16. This one continues to puzzle me! Home in Utah, GPS in Vermont, yet he is available right now. Where? His travel schedule doesn't make sense even from the prospecting standpoint. How big and where the hell are Bergen and Breckenridge? But there has to be a reason why this ad is up, what's the business model?
  17. Do we have any experiences with this masseur, now in St. Pete, the ad is recent, but it could be a name change? The price seems pretty low, which worries me LOL, it's a strange world... https://rentmasseur.com/TampaBayRubDown
  18. Yikes, sorry to hear that, I thought this was a veiled answer to that other question 🙂
  19. Bingo! Not all posts have to be linear, I count on this community to be witty and get it 😉
  20. OK, it's mid-December, time to pick that insanely hot masseur you've seen this year, the one you'd like to fuck, whether you did it or not. I am not looking for guys about which you fantasize based on pics, these can be fake or old, or the dude can be a turnoff in person. I am not looking for great masseurs or great massage experiences either, just that special uber-sexy masseur that got you horny and wanting more. I've found this one to be one of my best experiences this year, it was a very good massage with very nice sensual elements. In addition, and this is the most important thing on this thread, he happens to be insanely hot in my book. He looks much better in person and, no, we didn't go there, but that could be a nice wish, or goal, for 2023 🙂 https://rentmasseur.com/CatchAndRelease PS I may share a runner-up or two if the discussion becomes heated 😉
  21. I always ask whether the masseur is comfortable with being naked and lightly touched, and he said sure. The experience was anything but, he even turned off the lights when I turned around, before that I never care anyway. Lame, lame, lame. Plus careful positioning not to be touched. And I am not a grabby guy, and actually don't want things to get too hot, just to be relaxed and on an even playing field. I couldn't wait to be done. He should just offer strictly therapeutic at $100-120 max.
  22. He is on the move again. Competent therapeutic masseur but that's it, any promised sensual elements and especially nudity are beyond lame. I saw him in Chicago and then I tried a couple of years later in Indy, it only got worse 😞 I suggest avoiding, definitely not worth the money & time. https://www.masseurfinder.com/massage-therapists/38430/
  23. I understand the idea of prospecting, but this is becoming ridiculous. Why would anyone living in, say, Scranton or Clearwater, contact this masseur given the obvious prospecting intentions and low probability that the masseur will actually show up. Moreover, even if someone is interested, what if they are not available on those two (randomly selected and meaningless) days, why would they get in touch? On a side note, if I see a very busy travel schedule from one end of the continent to another, I am reluctant to book given all the talk about various viruses going around. One more thing masseurs should consider before posting obviously ridiculous travel schedules.
  24. I feel so sorry for the people who hire masseurs but don't know about this site. What an awful experience!
  25. Wow, looks like it's gone?!
