  1. Harlow said previously: "but you can tell he does text at times during the massage. That alone is a huge distraction."

Reminds me of on of my pet peeves, ha.

I think it is very rude and disrespectful to the client when during a massage the provider is texting...let's face it: the client know what you are doing! The long periods of one hand dwelling on the same spot; the sudden resumption of two hands...etc...even the pinging sound of the response from whomever he is texting. Any possible tip is lost right there for me! All a masseur needs to do is put in his profile that he doesn't answer texts when in a session. Most clients, I think, would appreciate and understand that.

Almost as bad to me is when the masseur hurries to check his cell phone the minute the massage is finished. I had one experience where the masseur was texting for so long he didn't even notice I had dressed and was halfway out the door before he even looked up. (Didn't want to interrupt him to say goodbye. )

  2. Interesting...They visited Atlanta last summer. I had an opposite experience with these two. I found them friendly, charming, sexy, and above average at sensual massage...HE was very good and the both seemed into it.

Over all a great time for me. My second visit with them: first was very good and second was actually better.

Full disclosure: I have a strong attraction for fit Asians, so that might have helped, ha. Of course, I'd repeat anytime I could.

  3. Even though I trust this site and you all far more than I do the reviews on masseurfinder, I still like to leave positive reviews when I have a great experience as I know the masseurs appreciate it as well (despite the fact that they are now so edited and cautious on language as to be almost useless).

I was surprised to find out recently that when I went to leave a review (and was logged into my masseurfinder account) that it asked for a facebook log-in! I left a message with technical support and got an answer that basically they are now requiring that as part of their new "security protocol" - which basically means I won't be leaving any more reviews on masseurfinder.

Ditto...exactly my experience and I don't plan any reviews there either.

  4. I, too, prefer to zone out, and was used to doing so from years of spa massages. But when I started doing more sensual massages, I found that there's talking. Sometimes a lot of talking. It's not necessarily bad, but I never feel that mental relaxation the way I would if I had an uninterrupted hour of peace and quiet.

However, I'm leery to shut it down, because like @510guy said, it helps to connect with somebody from whom I'm usually expecting more than just a deep-tissue massage. So unless the conversation veers towards politics and religion, I usually just entertain it, and I feel like it results in less "robotic" experiences, like some have reported here.

I find its a bit awkward to carry on a conversation while face down on a massage table.
