I love Barbara Stanwyck's performance in this movie - and that ending is wonderful!

It's hard these days to find a magnificent bodybuilder body. I'm not talking fit or merely "muscular" and slim but something like this: John Pruitt had just the right kind of bulky fat on him and those pecs!!! lol

I always wanted to hire Dawson from CF but regrettably something always got in the way! He's a really nice guy in real life btw

Sex at 50, how is or was your sex life at 50 y/o
Merboy replied to JamesMorris's topic in Men's Health
Well I've been watching The Golden Girls since I was a wee tot and I can tell you that if real life is like what's depicted on that show, then everyone over 50's getting plenty of sweet lovin! -
I have an idea for a movie - it requires a big budget, a very beautiful soundtrack (which in my opinion is as important as anything else in the movie). It's going to be an old-fashioned romance (between two men) and a "period piece" in a sense (set in the 1940s). I'm doing research for it now. I just wanted to ask if anyone here on the forum has ever had any experience working in the movie industry or known anyone that was. I understand it's an EXTREMELY difficult industry to get into and it's based on connections, connections, connections... Any one have any thoughts at all on moviemaking and what makes a movie very memorable to the audience? Thanks ? I think the essential great movie needs to have three things off the top of my head: you have to feel something and I believe a lot of that comes from subliminal feelings related to the soundtrack of the movie, it has to make you talk about it after you see it, and it has to make you really think in general. Any insight here would be greatly appreciated!

Wonderful voice and also didn't Marin Mazzie pass away recently too? So sad

I've heard of some terrific local productions out there!

This is wonderful!!!!

I'd like it to call it Rainbow Beach.

I've only heard the original cast recording from 1997, which I really like. I feel for a musical that won Best Musical this has been so forgotten. It's hardly ever brought up at all... why? The music is great.

I'm sure there's been men that have spent over $10,000 for those cruises and long vacations... and that's just for the companionship itself, not even taking into account hotels, dining, arts and entertainment... If its your dream hunk, then how much would you personally spend on a night, weekend, or week?

Thanks to all of you for the advice! I definitely will re-read all of the comments and make changes to improve things!!! ?

NYC was magical in the late 90s

Gee that could be possible... so I might have diabetes? AND YES I definitely need to do a lot more walking. I used to live next to a wonderful park where I would walk every day and listen to music (carrying a CD player). I really need to start seeing a nutritionist as well!

In the late 20s and early 30s, I saw unbelievable aging happen to me. I remember when I was 27 and looked at the mirror after a hard day and never saw myself look so old. Now I'm in mid-30s and I look unbearably bad. I gained 130 pounds within the past decade, going from 140 to 270, and the weight has not gone down. At 25, I had faith I'd meet a man one day. Today, I am under no delusions anymore and realize there is no such thing as a "perfect romance." I decided to hire in my late 20s as my body was worn down because I saw the clock ticking. I was one of the last holdouts out of anyone I knew when it came to intimacy. There simply was no intimacy until I began to hire. Hiring offered a rare opportunity to meet guys I knew I could not get to look at me twice out on the street. Now at 35, I'm looking more for a really handsome companion - a weekend, dinner, and conversation. My general feelings about sex are undergoing dramatic change - I guess I'm getting older and beginning to lose interest in just the physical bodies of men. I find 35 a hard age. You're not young anymore and you're not that old either. They keep saying "40 is the new 30" and all that stuff but I think for the past decade we've seen people desperately try to hold onto their youth. I'd rather just age... gracefully if possible, but I know it's coming and I know youth is long-gone. I just wanted to share that with y'all and also ask you about your age and how you feel about it. Do you have any regrets or bitterness about the choices you've made in life? Do you struggle with aging at all? Are you secretly longing to be "young" again?

He is having issues with entering the US. What a shame!

Neither would I. Unfortunately by the time that comes around, I'll either be older than dirt or dead.

Actors you can't stand (mannerisms, voice, looks, roles chosen, etc.)
Merboy replied to samhexum's topic in Comedy & Tragedy
Tom Cruise really irritates me for some reason. -
They'll probably have immersive virtual reality like they depicted in those futuristic Cinemax movies. You just basically jump into a jungle and get it on with Tarzan under a waterfall and it feels like real life.

Could "Sex and the City" be a hit without Samantha?
Merboy replied to marylander1940's topic in TV and Streaming services
Samantha was the most entertaining character on the show and some of those men she had were sexy. Victor Webster and Nick Scotti, two soap studs. -
And same with A Chorus Line. Fabulous theatre.

West Side Story is magnificent.
