  1. My best wishes to you, and your family. Sometimes, you just have to lean family, and others too, if only for a kind word, or for them to just listen. Glad you shared this with us. Hope you keep us posted.
  2. I always liked the format of AOL email too. But, my account was hacked when it was used to send ads from my email address to all my contacts (or everyone I had ever sent and email to). Discovered it when at work one day, and I got an email from myself (AOL address) to my work email, and so did a lot of my co-workers. Called AOL, they said the fix was to take my AOL address out of my contacts. Happened again, so cancelled AOL. Then just about a year later, happened again. Called AOL, said I canceled. They said something about they leave the account available for a while in case I wanted to come back. Told them never would after all 3 hacks, and to get rid if it.

  4. I did it once. It was cold in here, and I looking for some warmth (I guess more than one kind). I saw a guy I met only once before was going to be in Miami, so I looked at hotels, was able to get one on Miami Beach for points, and a seat for the less expensive miles was available, so decided to get out of the cold and fly down. Didn't contact him until I got there. Luckily, he was able to meet me the next day.
  5. Straight porn was first. Later, in my early 30's, would occasionally watch gay porn in peep show booths.
  6. Depending on where you dock, going off on you own is better. Once was on a cruise that docked at St. George's, Bermuda. We were late arriving, so it was a very short visit. Our original plan was to rent mopeds and look around. However, it was a cold, gray, drizzly day, so when we got off the ship we started to walk around, and found a cab driver that offered to show us around. He gave us a nice scenic tour as he took us over to Hamilton. Told us some history, showed us a pink sand beach. He was very proud of his home. Spent some time in Hamilton, looking around, having lunch on a balcony (sun was shinning there), and met the cab driver at a designated time to take us back to the ship. Tipped him well.
  7. I still have a Samsung Galaxy III. Have not once thought I needed more. I've never been one to be first in line (or even in line for that matter) for the latest tech. Yet, I suppose I can be counted as one of those who have a smartphone.

    I loved that. LOL
  9. A previous thread. https://www.companyofmen.org/threads/411-twink_tommy.121564/
  10. Wishing you all the best. Hope you have many more.
  11. I've seen when a neighbor has gone bad. People dumping houses to get out, prices plummeting. I remember when real estate prices in Detroit were in the toilet. People getting 1/2 of what they paid for houses 20 years before, if they were lucky. Some, like my folks continued to hang on, even with a break-in. Those neighbors that remained, and those new, were supportive, but my folks finally decided to move, and got very little for their house. Cost them a huge chuck of their savings to get a new house.
  12. OMG Avalon, in what town do you live? I can't imagine having to have your mail delivered to a secured place away from your home, and I lived in Detroit during the mid 80's. Of course, times change, and I now live in suburbia.

Looking at his "map me" location, wondering if @poolboy48220 has seen him around.
  14. Liked it. Nice to know I'm doing it right. Thanks @Tarte Gogo
  15. I misunderstood. Thought you were speaking in general terms, as if the their website was not user friendly. Looking forward to seeing the specific guy.
  16. It's not possible, at least for me. When I lick on your link, I get a home page to join, or log in. Another option on the home page is to go to the old website. Once on the old website, doesn't seem to be a way to search specific locations. Hopefully I'm missing something, and others can enlighten me and/or others.
  17. I lost, very slowly too, about 30 pounds a couple of years ago. Began to walk every day, ate more protein, but very little red meat, hardly any sugar, egg whites, only one yolk, and tried to eat foods that were low on the glycemic index. Carbs are my worst enemy. Always have craved them. Found some whole wheat/grain pastas, gave up french fries, potato chips, or any form of potatoes. Two years later, skipped some days walking, occasionally would order fries with meal, or occasionally buy chips, and cook white pasta. Put back on about 15 pounds. You'll need to find a way to make eating habits a permanent change, not something temporary with the only goal to just to loose weight at this moment.
  18. That doctor is an ass. At 96 years old, or anyone else, no matter what age, in the late stages of cancer, comfort is paramount. Let them be addicted.
  19. Good to hear you have a good doctor.
  20. Hopefully you have talked to your doctor about all the things you are feeling, but physically and emotionally. I know that can be difficult, just opening up, or having enough time at an appointment, when the doctors these days seem to be in and out of the room so they can churn patients, and spend more time looking at their laptop or computer screen before looking at you. But, it's vital they know the whole person. If your doctor doesn't seem interested in anything other than symptoms, it may be time for, and yes, it can be long and frustrating, a search for a new doctor.
  21. It will knock you out. I've taken it as a cough syrup, but limited myself to bedtime. Couldn't deal with it during the day, at least now that I'm older. Once I started to feel somewhat better, and could sleep without coughing all night, put the bottle away for the next bout. Don't mix opioids with alcohol.
  22. Search Kokomo for the recent thread.
  23. Mom and Dad. Never met paternal grandparents. Only met maternal grandparents when they visited for a week, but we didn't speak the same language, so my mother would tell me what my grandmother, or grandfather were either asking or saying, and be our translator. During those conversations, my mom referred to them as "your grandmother" or "your grandfather".
  24. I was hesitant about trying it in that form as it took years for me to give up cigarettes, and I always remembered how much I loved to smoke a cigarette after smoking a joint. Surprisingly, and thankfully, I didn't have the urge to light up a cigarette. It still is a smoking experience. Try the edibles first.
  25. A while back, I was surprised to learn that medical 420 in California could be purchased in a liquid form. It's contained in a small, short, slender cylinder thing that attaches to an e-cigarette device to inhale. It doesn't stink up the house. Now hearing this, I'll have find out if effects can be requested in that form, such as give you energy, make you horny, sink you into the couch, etc..
