That is one of the sweetest gay coming-of-age movies ever made. When this thread first started my first thought was the scene where Jamie and Steve are coming home from their first visit to a gay pub. Running through the park so joyfully and stopping to make out. I couldn't find a clip of it though.

It's not just any boyfriend. It's Gus-freaking-Kenworthy!!

You're still quite generous. Good on you! Obviously everyone has different levels of expendable income, but this is a pursuit where generosity is often rewarded.

I actually think he's better looking now and he can be had. He's not worth $400 an hour to me, but that's not bad if you're a serious fan.

Saw this a while back and it stuck with me.

Lol. I also love giving a guy nice underwear. It pleases me to know that they may think of me when they go to put them on. It also pleases me a great deal when they are thoughtful enough to wear them the next time they see me. I guess, in the end, it's a pretty selfish gift.

I chose Costa Rica because: First and foremost I have a couple wonderful friends there who will help me get settled. Cost of living. It's a beautiful country where you can get to beaches, mountains or rainforests within a few hours. Quality of healthcare. While someone above mentioned that Costa Ricans are smug about not having a standing military, I believe they're just proud of it. Yes, their police are well-armed, but nothing compared to the militarization of our own police forces. The money that would have been spent on a military goes into education and healthcare. (CAJA) They welcome pensioners into their country and into CAJA. A pensionado visa actually requires that 10% of your fixed pension income is paid into CAJA, but that can be as low as $100 a month. Is the healthcare as good as the wealthy receive in the US?...no. Is it as good as non-supplemented medicare?...better.

The Central Valley is a very large area and it very much depends on your elevation. Although the concept of Summer isn't really applicable in a country so close to the equator -- it's really just the wet or the dry season -- I have friends in Atenas who did tell me it's been unusually hot because it was in the low 90s. It never breaks 100 half way up the mountains and I'm not aware of any place in Costa Rica (Although I admit I don't study the weather of the entire country all year long.) that hits 115. The driest hottest part of the country did hit 109 last year, but I live in Texas. I am not impressed. That said, the country in general does get pretty warm, but my apartment in San Jose has air conditioning and I will take heat over cold any day. Weather below 50 degrees is simply not in my retirement future.

LOL. I know what you mean. I hate packing and moving. I have hired an estate agent to sell every stinking thing I own that won't fit into two suitcases and one trunk. If the hustle and bustle or the heat of San Jose become too much for me, I want to easily move out to the Central Valley where the average daily temperature is 75 degrees.

I am the exact opposite. I want to start a whole new chapter in my life -- not just continue my current life with less money to work with. Moving to a new country, adopting a new culture, really learning a new language, are the things that I figure will give me goals and keep me busy. I'm looking forward to some leisure but I also want some excitement.

I bet he can't dance. He's smart and handsome and hunky, but a bit of a goofball. I can't imagine that he has great rhythm or can move his hips. Lol

It would be a toss-up between Ricky Martin and Anderson Cooper. Brains versus pure Latin beauty. I think curiosity would make me pick Anderson -- I would love to know what his O-face looks like.

Traveling: Why is it that more and more clients can't host?
MikeyGMin replied to Mocha's topic in Questions About Hiring
Ouch! I'm sorry that happened to you. It must have been very traumatic. I've been very fortunate in all of my hiring. The worst thing I've ever encountered is a bad attitude. -

What makes you think they weren't purely for self-defense? I may be wrong, but I would think one of the riskier things an escorts does is go into a stranger's home. Yes, you can kind of assume that no client wants a disturbance at their house, but you really never know what's behind those doors. -

If he rented the room just for your appointment, and it turns out to be a good time, it's nice to keep his expense in mind when deciding whether to tip and how much. -
You don't believe in gaydar?

I know you're just trying to figure out the rules of the game, but rule #1 is that this is not our sandbox. We are allowed to play in it and given quite a bit of latitude, but we have no rights with regards to this free service. Everyone who is interested in the boy knows his other (stage) name. Continuing to challenge and provoke the administrators, will just get this very entertaining thread locked or even disappeared. I apologize for making the joke that added more fuel to the fire, but really, it's best to let it go. They do not owe you an explanation, and when one is given it is often accompanied by a timeout. I'm just sayin....

He's also a smart little marketer. He is promoting the hell out of his OnlyFans site on Twitter. (Under the name that will not be mentioned.) He isn't posting any racy photos there though. Apparently he only joined to do the OnlyFans feed. I like his initiative. There are some brains in that pretty head of his.

I hear you! I like dark haired men. Usually Latin or sporting some scruff. Never baby-faces or smooth bodies. But this young man is incredibly beautiful. @MikeBiDude and @DTCG82 I'm extremely envious!

I'm not sure about your math, but I was never that good at statistics in the first place. I'm more interested in the concept that gay men's facial features have been somewhat feminized due to genetics or biology. I will admit that it feeds into a fundamental belief that I have, not priven by science (yet), that gay men are born gay due to genetics and or hormones while in the womb. Then they are socialized in different ways that determine whether they act out on their natural orientation. We have all seen men that you can tell are gay just by looking at them. And I'm talking just about their features not because of mannerisms or having the current trendy gay haircut, etc. I think it's easier to see in teenagers before they have had a chance to hyper-masculinize with muscles, steroids and facial hair. However, I don't think that 81% of the gay men I know fall into this category. So the fact that AI can detect something better than the naked eye is pretty impressive.

Well, on the positive side. You now know that he does indeed escort and by all accounts is very good at it!

Nice... I hate height inflators. Even more than age shavers and dick inflators. Only half kidding. I'm fine with anyone over 5'8", but I start to get seriously turned on at 6'. I don't like to be teased by extra inches.
-
At 6'1" and that body, the only thing twinkish about him is his age. He does have an extremely boyish face, but that's a twunk if I've ever seen one. Dear God what a beauty!

Too straight looking to hook up with hot guys?
MikeyGMin replied to MyWhorishWays's topic in The Lounge
Okay...jaded. There are some inconsistencies, but what's the harm in given the OP the benefit of the doubt? It's not like we're busy in this forum solving world peace! -

I think this is the crux of it @nycboi. You live in one of the gayest places in the country, but you still have to put yourself out there. You have to go to where men are looking to hook up and the apps are the obvious place. As far as I can tell they've almost completely replaced bar hookups. If you're counting on being approached on the street or the gym or whatever, I doubt it's because you are too "straight looking." You probably are just not coming off as approachable, so yes, smile more dude.
