My preferred spot is the Fairfield these days. The rooms were nicely updated, free breakfast and definitely walkable to the gay village/stripclubs (long walk to Taboo though). My last few visits to the Gouverneur, I stayed in the business class rooms. The hardwood floors were nice but my guests and I would track in huge amounts of sand/salt/gravel from the winter sidewalks.

He's visiting my town for the week, but he's inconsistent with writing back. Luckily I do speak French, so that part is easier at least. No idea if our schedules will jive before he leaves. But yes, also have my guard up due to his reviews.

In my slightly more innocent days, I was staying at a Montreal hotel with friends and saw Marko at the free breakfast with another gentleman. Marko, living in Montreal, wasn't the paying in this scenario was our assessment LOL
