  1. Although Guy Fawkes did a great service by keeping this site alive, I believe it was "Hooboy" who had the original idea to create the site, with help from various internet-savvy guys he knew. Hooboy died unexpectedly while vacationing in Thailand. He was a radio commentator and had a radio show in Hawaii. Although Hooboy had the idea of creating the site, it was Guy Fawkes who spent an enormous amount of time over the years keeping the site alive. Fortunately, for forum members, RadioRob came to the rescue of the site after the death of Guy Fawkes and has kept this site going with many improvements.
  2. I am not sure how dirty it was. It was very old and needed painting. It certainly looked like it had seen its day. I am surprised that a replacement sauna similar to the sauna in Barcelona did not open in Madrid.
  3. Madrid did have an escort sauna. However, the sauna that had been there for years is closed. One of the reasons it closed was the rotten way paying customers of the sauna were treated by some of the sauna employees. Another reason was that not very many good-looking escorts came there because of the rude treatment they got from employees. The sauna closed several years ago. Bottom line? When you have paying customers to your company, be nice to them (or go out of business).
  4. The thing that likely puzzles many of us is that all of his rentmen reviews are five stars. How can that be? Even though he is roughly twenty years more than he says he is in his rentmen ad, those who have written reviews all give him five stars. If the reviewers did not have a good experience, those reviews would likely have been negative and/or someone would have commented about his false age that he claims in his ad.
  5. Nice guy. However, he insists on payment prior to involvement.
  6. Ever since Sauna Gran Via and Black and White Bar closed, it appears that Madrid has lost contact with gay-4-pay arrangements in a public setting. Now, Barcelona, on the other hand, is quite a treat.
  7. There used to be a garoto sauna in Madrid that was claimed to be like the sauna in Barcelona. However, it closed years ago. I can understand why it closed. Most sauna employees were incredibly rude to most customers. Moreover, the garotos were mostly ordinary in looks, unlike the many beauties found in Barcelona Thermas. Here is a link to an old post about that sauna that suggests employees might have contributed to the sauna going out of business due to their rude behavior. Is Sauna Adan in Madrid still open? - European Men and Destinations - Gay Guides Forum WWW.GAYGUIDES.COM I saw a review yesterday on Nighttour which said it was closed.,is this true? If so what are the other options in...
  8. You are likely correct. To me, the sound on the video is not clear.
  9. They do? What about this famous wrestler who got arrested for setting up a sex meeting with a male escort?
  10. Thanks, your answer makes perfect sense. I had not thought about the lack of reviews being attributable to rentmen status.
  11. Is there a possibility that you could reword the above. I read it a few times but I do not know what it says. Thanks for understanding.
  12. Rentmen is based in Germany. It would be difficult and expensive to go after them with a lawsuit. It would be easier for a European to file against them if the European answered one of rentmen's advertisements. Your idea of pursuing Rentmen legally is interesting. Many of the Rentmen ads are greatly misleading in many facets. Rentmen serves a good purpose for many in our community. Thus, I would not like to see the company face legal problems or go out of business.
  13. Thank you for the clarification.
  14. I have been to Thermas many times. I was never aware of any American working at the sauna in Barcelona. I assume it is possible. However, in Zurich, at Paragonya, one time I met an American working there. That was about three years ago. I asked the American why he chose Zurich for work. He replied that he and some of his friends/acquaintances do a "tour" and go to various saunas and clubs around Europe. He also said that some of his traveling friends are Canadians.
  15. He must read this forum. In my prior post above, I commented on his expired ad bordering on being rude. I just read his new updated ad since he renewed it. The bordering rudeness is now gone.
