  1. Farrell is easily the most interesting thing in Albany.
  2. Always assume the worst and behave accordingly. What a sexual partner tells you is irrelevant.
  3. I tell everyone in their 20's that the secret to happiness is a Roth IRA, a Vanguard index fund and 40 years. They don't listen, but neither did I.
  4. I lived in NYC for 20 years without a car. If I wanted to go any real distance outside the city, it was far cheaper to rent a car for a long weekend, than to deal with the tremendous hassle of keeping one in the city. Still, for a family of 4 living in the depths of Brooklyn (that is not a dig as Brooklyn is huge and requires a long subway ride from Manhattan) it would be convenient to have one family vehicle.
  5. Who needs 2 cars in NYC? With $36,000 in 401K contributions, why are they paying so much in taxes?
  6. Gaelic (or Irish) is a required subject in all Irish schools. As a result, most Irish can read it, but few speak it. All public signs in Ireland are printed in English and Gaelic except for specific local areas where Gaelic is still commonly spoken (the Dingle peninsula for example.) In these designated cultural areas, signs may be printed in Gaelic alone.
  7. I had a nice conversation with him in Palm Springs as well. He is quite handsome and very friendly.
  8. Welsh and Gaelic are related in that they are the only 2 Celtic languages. In Ireland, the official languages are English and Gaelic, however, the Irish themselves refer to their traditional language as Irish.
  9. Matt Anthony (MrMattBig) is a terrific escort. https://rent.men/MrMattBig

I'm confused. Which one is the parody? I've always considered Bakersfield a great place to drive past on the way to Stockton and Salinas.
  11. You can add clients who are batshit crazy--there are a lot of us out there, probably way more than crazy escorts.
  12. https://rent.men/Cali_Otter Check out the videos. He is a juicy one.
  13. Thank you! I just found it on YouTube also. Persistence pays off.
  14. Sorry about that. I can't find any other way to post a link. No url. Not on YouTube. It was a cute video about the incredibly stupid questions straight people ask gay couples.
  15. Had no idea you had to join FB to view a page. Ah, well.
  16. Yes. Gave me no end of trouble. BUT, if you click on the words, "watch on Facebook" in the middle of the black square, it will direct you to the FB page with the video.
  17. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=1814090752180602 You will have to click on "watch on Facebook."
  18. I see what you mean. The NYC area can be every bit as brutal in the summer as Atlanta or Southern Florida, but not generally for so long or so often. I had a NYC friend who grew up in St. Louis. He said NY was bad, but St. Louis was worse being in the Mississippi River valley. From my readings, the university district in NO sounds attractive. I have a feeling I will wind up in the suburbs which is OK. I no longer need to be in the center of everything if I can still access all that from not too far away.
  19. I grew up in NJ and lived in Manhattan without AC, so I am familiar with 90 degree heat and 87% humidity (at night!) I admit Seattle has me spoiled. Will have to adjust. Apartment rents in NO are almost 40% lower than for something comparable in Seattle. Thanks for the neighborhood suggestions.
  20. There is a possibility I may be moving from Seattle to New Orleans sometime in the next two years, both for the lower cost of living and to be with family. I am 68 and retired. Lived in Manhattan for 20 years, Laguna Beach for 10, and am now in a one bedroom apt in a nicer section of Everett, about 20 miles north of Seattle. I have never been to NOLA and had never before considered living there. The various neighborhoods of that city are a mystery to me, but I am doing research now. I am thinking about some of the closer suburbs as potentially a good fit for me at this stage of my life. Was thinking of visiting for the first time this coming summer so I can experience the climate at its worst. Basically, I will be trying to scope out a safe neighborhood where I can find an affordable, dog friendly one bedroom with a WD and a dishwasher and a place to park a car. If you have any tips or suggestions, I would be grateful.
  21. Link?
  22. I liked Robbie the middle one of My Three Sons, both Hardy Boys, Herman of hermit fame, 2 of the Monkeys, Bobby Rydell, Pat Boone (yeah, well,) Dwayne Hickman, at least 2 of the Mouseketeers, and I was a member of the Fabian fan club although I have no memory of that individual--a friend had decided we should join.
